I didn't come here to get into confrontations, but as you point out, it's what the people here constantly engage in. What I am looking for is information on the latest sightings, hoaxes or science that people interested in ufology would find useful from a skeptical and/or critically minded point of view.

From a skeptical point of view, let's discuss that J. Randall Murphy UFO hoax. Or aren't "ufology" pseudoscientists willing to assess their very own hoaxes with the kind of rigor and skepticism they claim to be willing to apply to others?

No, you are incorrect. The challenges to your belief system, what you call "confrontations", are very educational for all of us. We get to see an actual credulous believer in the wild and his reactions to critical thinking in real time. By playing the foil, you've been instrumental in the education of many on this forum. But by the twisted semantics of J. Randall Murphy here, those objects would not be properly classified as UFOs until exhaustive research has been conducted by a super-sciencey team of eminently qualified professional UFOlogists and all possible mundane causes have been ruled out, leaving only one possible explanation: "OMG, Aliens!!!"

In the entire history of mankind...there has been no definitive proof...

In this day and age of digital cameras..Cellphone cameras..etc...Yet still nothing...

Maybe you believe in 'Alien abduction' as well....

Why would an alien race, that is that advanced..and travelled trillions of miles, even need to take a human from this planet?..

BUT...I do believe that there is life on other planets...and, once again, i also think that they would also have the technology NOT to be seen...

Unless mankind is that inferior to them that they don't care....and in that case...Mankind is in trouble...

This is the skeptic's home turf so it's up to them to get out there and dig it up. But instead, you pretend to be doing something useful by lying in wait for anyone who might be interested in UFOs and then engaging in ufology bashing. Get out there and find something useful please. Surely you can find something to post? Or is picking on people the best you can do?

Speaking for myself, you have it backwards. It is not up to me to "dig up" anything. I don't have a replacement for any 'U' in UFO I need to peddle. If you want to qualify your cult-of-one, and that's what it appears to be, then you not only have to defend challenges to your beliefs, you have to do the actual spadework yourself.

Have you yet been able to comprehend the null hypothesis? Can you give me an example of its use in an everyday situation so that we may see that you do comprehend it? It is, after all, your null hypothesis. You might want to take an interest in it. Do you feature it on your website?
