How about trying to have a rational conversation for a change?

This isn't PMF. Here, unlike there, you don't get brownie points for toeing any so-called "party line" (because there aren't any "party lines" here) and you don't get turfed and "thanked for stopping by" for disagreeing with others.

But you are expected to actually say something worthwhile and intelligent in the midst of a discussion, instead of just copying and pasting the same old drivel from elsewhere.

So, how about a real discussion? Are you game?

Joking around is really immaterial as long as they do the job properly. The fact is that they didn't do the job properly and that is clearly evident on the tape.

The audio segments that I would like to have played and transcribed are those around the collection and discovery of the bra and the clasp under where Meredith was laying. I want to know if they make any excuse at the time for not collecting the clasp.

It's a website comprised primarily of members who are mostly lunatics and nutcases, and it doesn't deserve attention, really, so I apologize for mentioning it. It's pretty much the equivalent of a 9/11 tinhatter site, but it's about this case and this case only, and the members (whackjobs) there are insistent upon the guilt of the innocent Ms. Knox and Mr. Sollecito despite reality and despite all evidence to the contrary. Of course, just like other CT and whackjob sites, they allow no dissent, and anyone who disagrees with them is banned on sight. So, it's a very incestuous and weird sort of place.

They also seem oddly sympathetic to Rudy Guede, who has been definitely, definitively, and certainly proven to have been involved in the sexual assault and murder of Ms. Kercher. For some reason, they don't seem to really care about that so much.

On the up side, they got a group of people together to translate the bizarre and outrageously incompetent Massei report, and that was a lot of work. I sincerely applaud them for that. (Of course, it turned out that the reasons for judgment were ridiculous, and did not support the convictions of Ms. Knox and Mr. Sollecito at all, but the translation effort was certainly commendable.)

According to someone who was there, it was actually Mignini who most wanted the photos shown to the jury at that moment, though obviously Maresca would have to acquiesce. Just to make sure everyone knows what we're talking about, the way I recall it reported the representations were life-sized in court. What Telenorbo telecast with the Sollecitos was basically the crime scene videos, like them fondling the bra clasp, trashing the scene etc. It included a second or two long segment basically showing the neck wound that was blurry with the face blanked out. There's a huge difference in scope here.

Incidentally, thank you as well as RVWBWL and Dan-O for finding that piece. I was hoping to return the favor and dig up that video as I could have sworn it was posted in this thread a month or two ago and I thought it was Fine who did so, but I was unable to find it.

No prob!

One thing -- the photos were shown by both Mignini and Maresca during closing arguments in the appeals, but on different days, and I understand in a different way. So I don't know why Mignini would be in favor of Maresca showing something he had already shown, and that the jury already has access to, while the press and observers are present.

If you were not a part of the trial in process, but just a spectator viewing the process, for what reason do you feel that it was OK for you to see photographs of Miss Kercher after she was murdered?

I personally feel that it was extremely dishonorable to Miss Kercher's memory by showing those photographs to members of the public and media during the Appeal Trial.

My opinion only,

The site PerugiaMurderFile.org was spawned from a true crimes web blog early in this case and became the de-facto site for information concerning the case. But instead of taking the role of archivist, they chose to push out the pro innocence faction and became primarily a site pushing hate and slime against Amanda and Raffaele and any of their supporters. More recently they've had an internal fracturing and the PerugiaMurderFile.net clone was hatched.


ETA: And the color scheme is reminiscent of lionking's avatar.

I personally do not think it's right to lump them all as some Amanda Knox hate group. The majority have become bitter delusional sad sacks. But there are some that are still kind of open to debate and/or reevaluation. For example, this Greggory fellow that was mentioned earlier. It may be a small percentage, but still, there are some that are reasonable enough.

Shame on the Kercher family if this is true. The death of Meredith does not entitle this family to financially destroy an innocent victim of a witch hunt.

Amanda deserves every cent she can earn off her own suffering and the Kercher family does not deserve one cent of that.

The story says the Kerchers were appalled at Knoxs plans to make big money media deals......Can some one point me in the direction of these big money deals? I've seen speculation and gossip, but I've not seen anything else concerning any deals.

I'd also like to know where, if this story is true, the Kerchers are filing this lawsuit. In an interview with one of the family members the end of last week they didn't have legal council in GB, only in Italy. Has that changed over the weekend?

The wording of this article make the Kerchers sound like they only want to make money off of Mz Kerchers death and I really really hope that is not the case. They do deserve answers, and those answers are right there if they chose to look further than the garbage they've been fed by they're Italian lawyer and that convicted criminal prosecutor.

What matters is that the administrators of the site(s) are not, and anyone attempting to argue the case for innocence will be promptly banned.
