Have they ever said who paid for the jet, if it exists at all? Any photos of said jet? I think not.

It was a news in the Il Messaggero a few days ago. There they referred to the jet provider as a certain "Foundation of the friends of Amanda"

TGCOM:

Was this said during court or during a break?

"According to unconfirmed reports in the Italian media, a US television network has put a private jet at the disposal of the Knox family. "Well now," said Maresca when his turn came to speak. "The Kercher family has problems finding the tickets to come here to hear the outcome on Monday morning.""

Could it be .....

I have to say, innocent or guilty, this case has really exposed the Italian trial process. It seems you can pretty much talk about almost any rumor not adduced at trial, past or current, whenever you feel like and there are literally no consequences.

****, I just thought of another. Why is the prosecution allowed to talk about how Amanda would get the death penalty in the United States? What does that have to do with evidence adduced at trial.

Maybe he should provide them, out of his (no doubt considerable) fees.

I did not understand this sentence, either.
It was allegedly about the Cosenza document.
But as Frank reported it, this was removed from the trial file by the judge.

The sentence is not about the document.
It's obviously about the disgraceful demonstration of force from the first day of final arguments.

What is amazing is that they have echoed all the rediculous gilter talking points, like "oh yeah, well if the trial was held in the US, she would be facing the death penalty", etc. It seems like they can't talk about the actual case, because there is none. I thought the role of the PM is to uncover the truth, not beat a dead horse when no one is buying the story anymore.

These arguments always remind me of school yard taunts as a child. Ha ha, I beat you to the finish line!! Oh yeah, well you're ugly! Oh yeah, well you dress funny!

And to think this is a murder case.

Talking points, whether valid or not, like ""oh yeah, well if the trial was held in the US, she would be facing the death penalty" have no place in court----especially not in closing arguments. It has nothing to do with evidence adduced at trial. I'm pretty amazed. (And yes it is a stupid talking point. One of many)

Debating, diversions and useless arguments

Comodi did? Well that's somewhat reassuring. What about the comments about a PR campaign? Was that said during break too?
Were comments about the paid-for jet said during a break as well?

I'll just keep repeating that it's amazing she's even allowed to talk about this in court.

"Reassuring" perhaps to you.
To any neutral reader, it more pertinently points out the inaccuracy (and in your words "useless") previous argument you find necessary to "keep repeating" about Prosecutor Comodi's statement.

BTW
Debate 101 frowns upon not directly admitting/correcting errors in previous arguments by quick but obvious diversions to other topics

I'm not really sure what you're even talking about, but is this the first legal case you've followed? You seem to be having trouble understanding simple concepts.

Edit: Oh I see what you're saying.....kind of. You're not very articulate in making your point unfortunately. What you fail to understand is, my argument remains just as valid per the NUMEROUS and many other examples I keep listing.

Do try and keep up next time Padroney, and work on trying to make some sense.

Can someone explain to me whether this is possible, legally? How can this be?
According to Dougm, it is standard stuff. I think it will indeed happen Monday; let us hope the jury sees through it. The victim's mother, yes, you can have sympathy for--but her request to keep an innocent in jail must be denied.

Nothing serious.
I just found it curious.

I think it shows that the song is over, the fat lady is singing.

Over here we have a game called 'football'--not to be confused with the more primitive form it was derived from which bears the same name elsewhere. The forth quarter, the last, can often be the most important one. Other times, it's...not. You see the second-stringers playing because you're ahead so far there's no need to expose the starters to injury, plus you don't want to be seen as 'running it up.'

Maybe there's a little of that going on now, so that's why Bongiorno is in Rome and her understudy sings her role...

I wonder if the Kercher clan showed up for Guede's sentencing and subsequent appeal verdict? Can't find any confirmation..

Saw this link on PMF : Hope the jury does not share this Italian misconception:

Acciclico magazine

Amanda Knox: 1 million dollars to change her image

Amanda Knox has spent a million dollars to change its image and influence the jury.

The verdict of the appeal of the young American Amanda Knox, accused of the murder, which occurred in 2007, his British roommate Meredith Kercher, will be delivered next Monday, the court upheld a judge in Perugia.

One of pmdurante the case against Amanda Knox, said today that the Knox family had spent a million dollars to change the image of the girl and influence the jury.

" Have you ever seen a defendant takes a great public relations company ? "Exclaimed the prosecutor Giuliano Mignini, while the family of the accused shook his head in denial.

" Behind her was a communication campaign for a million dollars. And would she, what has been crucified by the media? " the prosecutor said, citing a phrase used defense lawyer Carlo Dalla Vedova

Is it just me , but recently Maresca has become some desperate squid like creature that seems to use the worst judgement of "using" the Kerchers as some kind of twisted pawn-like ...never mind...
I think it is just par for the course with his aggressive, shark-like, nature. Let's just hope it doesn't work....
