Do you think you would have seen similar results, say prior to Groundhog Day?
No, for two reasons. The main one is that I think the evidence is a lot clearer now, there have been a lot of things cleared up since the original trial and have shown that RS and AK are probably innocent.
The second is that many of the guilty believers have gone, though not enough to have swayed the poll now to a belief in Guilty.
I think the largest change is in people seeing that the original evidence was not actually worth the paper it was printed on. In one way that is good, as it means that generally there is still a believe that the police get things right most of the time. One the other hand it's not so good, as it shows that the Italian Justice system is in serious trouble.
