Who are all these people?

I have to agree with pilot on some level. Wearing that shirt was not a good idea, but really small petty potatoes compared to some of the other cr*p pulled by people from both sides of this issue,

Dave

P.S. Thank you Rose

Not the best idea, I agree. I do think it was done as a way to be defiant of those terrible articles like the one I posted above. People are different the way they respond to such things.

I know the "Lone Wolf" vs multiple attackers thing has been discussed over and over, but I was just thinking -- if there were 3 people controlling Meredith, why stab her in the throat?

Seems like an unlikely place to stab anyone if you had a choice.

The response was certainly understandable Rose,

and no worse (in my opinion) than some of the black humor I've posted here myself, but still not in the same class of low-life sensationalism that can be read at the link you supplied.

But I can't really pass judgement considering my own foray into the dark side of humor at the expense of all the victims of Meredith's death, including Meredith herself,

Dave

I know...so many scenarios are possible. The fatal wound to remove a witness could have been done at the end by Rudy. The Forensic team possibly missed a lot of other DNA peaks in their interpretation....or for example, they missed Rudys DNA in the bathroom even though he admits to being in there, "with blood everywhere".

surreal...
It must be a nightmare to be in prison for a crime you didnt do, then in your trial for your life,

the Perugia courtroom is laughing out loud at the video of the police..

but its this same comedy-forensic teams data everyone is laughing at, that sent you to prison for life per the Perugia courtroom.

Hi RW.

Just to keep things factual.

Isn't it really unfair to criticize h9 for calling Mellas "Foxy Knoxy Mom's Boy toy"??
Someone as well informed and as well read on the case as yourself surely knows that Mellas proudly wore a T shirt in Seattle that had :"Foxy Knoxy Mom's Boy Toy" emblazoned across the front.
This just may be one of the reasons Marriott was so hesitant, and why it took so long for Marriott to ever trust him enough to allow him to appear on any of the the Marriott managed Dog and Pony morning mommie type TV interviews.
Hi Pilot Padron,
Thank you for that information, I do apologize to H9 for being critical of her. Please pass that onward to her, heck being a surfer, I remember when I 1st started reading there, I always thought that her moniker, before it was abreviated, was pretty cool, I thought that she was Hawaiian, but lived in England. Being how I am at the beach, using a very small, mini laptop with a cracked screen, well I didn't see what the letters on the black t-shirts said, I thought it said something about Free Amanda. Guess I should have not made mention of H9's comment, and just commented on why I thought Prosecutor Mignini fell asleep(!) during this crucial part of this long trial...

On another note, I'll say this even though others here might disagree, there is loads and loads of great info on PMF and you guys and gals are pretty intelligent, some just debate better than others, on both sides of this case. None of us are stupid, though we might say or write some stupid things sometimes. I do find it interesting though how both sides of this debate look at the same information and we reach different conclusions...
Anyways, take it easy, Pilot Padron,
Peace, RW

Oh Dear. But Marriott does indeed control Mellas....now

Come on Rose don't I get any credit for remembering ;)

I think this disproves another one of pilot's favorites - Marriott isn't controlling the media - he can't even control Mellox.

Oh Dear

I certainly believe Marriott does indeed 'control Mellas...finally.

Surely you noticed how long it took before he was even allowed to appear on one of the Marriott...errr... *'scheduled'* US main media TV programs .

Edda and Curt became regulars in scores of early Marriott errr... *'arranged'* TV appearances.
Even Madison passed Marriott's approval for interviews Marriott.... errr *'allowed'*.

But not Mellas.
He was only seen in a fishing jacket, dungarees, wearing a baseball hat *inside the Courtroom*.
He always seemed to be scowling at any photographer who dared to photograph him.

Only relatively recently, literally *years after the murder*, has he been seen in a tweed overcoat and matching golf cap (and not worn inside the Courtroom).
And he has finally been been trusted not to be a 'loose cannon' on the Marriott ..errr *scheduled* interviews.
He will now parrot only the easily recognized professionally scripted PR talking point soundbites.

PS
Please do not make Rose dig up the literally hundreds of pictures of Mellas illustrating what I say as fact, and you well know as true (again).

Dude - I didn't ask her to find anything.

Oh, this is a new one on me. I'm sure you wouldn't write something like this if it wasn't provably correct, so it must be just me that is ignorant of this interesting little fact. Would you be so kind as to furnish us here with the evidence that you obviously hold to support this claim: a photo of Mellas wearing the t-shirt would be ideal, but failing that, a reliable news account or published work mentioning the claim would be fine. As I said, I'm not disputing that you're being truthful and accurate here, but I'd just like to see the proof for my own interest. Thank you.

OMG, I knew that LJ had asked YOU to supply the picture - does this mean that you are Rose????

Grinder, Pilot,

PLEASE stop it both of you.

When text messaging, it is sometimes hard to tell if someone is using sarcasm or being serious when it is void of gestures and emotion or emoticons.

It makes it doubly harder when no references are included so you can tell who you are writing to or about.

In that instance, when you quote someone at the top of your message, it is safe to assume by the person you are quoting that you are replying and talking to them.

Sorry for being the parent here. I hate it. I hate it. Please don't let me do it again,

Dave

No, he doesn't have direct jurisdiction over that charge. That's why he can't direct an acquittal on that charge. But he can inform prosecutors that it would be unwise for them to pursue charges on that issue. Ultimately, it will be for the prosecutors and the judge in the police slander case to decide what happens. But Hellmann can most definitely issue an opinion, since it's an issue that is related to the case he's hearing. Of course, prosecutors can completely disregard anything Hellmann says, and plough on regardless with the case against Knox. But ultimately it's the trial judge in Knox's slander trial who will have the influence over what happens next. I strongly suspect that this judge will order a directed acquittal on this case once Knox/Sollecito are acquitted - for reasons that are both judicial and political (not in the sense of national politics, but in the sense of the politics of the justice system).

You are forgetting one important factor...The judge is named Claudia Matteini...you may remember her from the prelim. You may also recall that she is close personal friends with another Perugian...last name Mignini. No....you cant make this stuff up.

Hey guys,
Let's keep it pleasant to some degree...
I'm drinkin' a cold Coors Light right now, wonderin' where the heck I saw those couple of blended photos on PMF showing a dark car a the top of the cottage driveway, so we might further discuss the meaning of that a bit more...

I made mention of the Foxy Knoxy Moms Boy Toy post, because I saw the photo of, I assume, Chris Mellas and about 15 friends and family wearing a black t-shirt with script. I thought it said something else, because I didn't try to enlarge the photo, so I thought that H9 was talking crap about the age diffeence, hence that was why I brought up Prosecutor Mignini and his wife's age difference...

Anyways, tommorrow looks like a another big day, it will start in a few hours, let's keep it mellow as we discuss everything, for I definately would like to read real time postings here, instead of moderated posts that are hours old...
Peace, RW

PS-I've been interested in WWII and the Vietnam War for many years.
I always wondered how do enemies afterwards then become friends?
When I was young, being American,I hated the Japs, Krauts, and Gooks. My last girlfriends step-dad, doing what he was trained to do, shot and killled a German soldier in close proximity to him during the Italian Campaign in World War II. As I got older, I learned how to stop hating about something I read, heck, since then I've even kissed a German gal and have been intimate with a coupla Japanese gals too, me, a guy who hated the Japanese because of all the stories that I read as a kid...

Let's try and keep the debate civil,
heck the person you are corresponding with might become a friend, in debate, sometime in the future. Who would have thought that we in the United States of America would be friends and trading partners with the Vietnamese years later?

Well, when you have millions and millions of dollars to work with, even a small regional player can pay off those big network guys!! Even public broadcasters in Austrailia like money, right? And all of these people are corrupt, and on the take. None of the them care about the truth, they will just put out whatever story the PR guy gives them, as long as he will dole out those millions. It's a good thing that the Knox family found that sunken pirate ship with the treasure chest in it, so they could give all that cash to Marriott so he could build the supertanker!!

Alleged pro-innocence conspiracy theory -
Collusion of small town officials under the direction of Giuliano Mignini:

Edgardo Giobbi + 12 police officers + Rita Ficarra + Patrizia Stefanoni + Claudia Matteini + Manuela Comodi + Monica Napoleoni + Francesco Maresca + Carlo Pacelli + GianCarlo Massei + Dr Beatrice Cristiani + 6 lay judges.....

Actual pro-guilt conspiracy theory - Collusion of international media corporations under the direction of David Marriott:

News Corporation (The Times, The Sun, The Daily Telegraph, The New York Post, Fox, Sky Broadcasting, News International) + AOL Time Warner (Time Magazine) + Disney (ABC, Lifetime) + Viacom (CBS, Infinity, UPN) + NBC Universal + Associated Press + NY TIMES + Christian Science Monitor + Penguin + Hearst + Oprah + Seattle Media (KOMO-TV4, KING-TV5, KIRO-TV7, The Seattle Times, The Seattle P-I, The West Seattle Herald).....

Novelli's interview: softball questions and disappointing answers

In addition to Stephanie and Arline Kercher, and the chat with Antonio "Credibilissimo" Curatolo in his jail cell (why have the authorities allowed him to be interviewed, I wonder?), the Porta a Porta episode from a few days ago featured an interview with Giuseppe Novelli. Here is a translation:
komponisto,

Thank you for translating this. I think the questions could have been far more pointed, but Dr. Novelli's answers are terribly disappointing, sometimes for what he did not say. For example, if he did not use the electronic data files (also known as .fsa files in this case), then he would not have been able to zoom in and look at small peaks. In other words his review would not be very thorough. If he did use the EDFs, then he had access to something that the defense did not have in the first trial, and he should have deplored this lack of transparency. I will have to leave it at that until tomorrow night at the earliest.

Alright,
I just got caught up saw that RoseMontague posted that photograph I saw and I enlarged it, that is the shot I saw earlier, and it does say Free Amanda and Raffaele., so I am not goin' blind yet, though my eyes are getting worse from squinting thru a Canon 1d Mark IV for hours at a time as I stare at the ocean.

BUT in the back, I do see Chris Mellas is wearing a t-shirt that says that he is Foxy Knoxy Mom's Boy Toy!
Good for him, someone luvs the guy, just like someone luvs Mignini too.
All You Need is Love, hope that someone luvs you too!

So what's happening in a few hours?
Are Maresca and Pacelli are going to rip into the defense once again?
Yikes...

The discussion about how to handle the not guilty verdict has been going on for quite some time. Many have speculated that the Italians might want to hold onto some charges in order to avoid paying out millions for a false conviction.<snip>
Hi Grinder and everyone else,
I have not given it much thought about what would happen if Raffaele and Amanda are acquited, what happens afterwards. Do they get released that day from the courtroom or do they have to go back to prison?
Or do they have to stay in prison for a few extra days for paperwork to get filled. What would happen next?
