Merged Does CERN prove Einstein wrong?

In the real world, relativity is well researched and subject to practical experiments involving very accurate clocks in spaceships and any number of other ways. These are real world experiments. Not thought experiments, but things that people have actually done.

Here is where the Big Lie strategy and the shadow power gatekeeper scientists come into the picture. Do you believe it's impossible that those scientific results could have been faked? Absolutely impossible to fake? If so, then I suggest you do some research into conspiracy theories.

CT is that way ---->

Somebody move the thread.

Oh wow! I have shadow power? My PhD supervisor must have neglected to give me the key combo.

Didn't you say earlier that you didn't know much about physics, and now you're an expert? ;)
The reason I made that statement is because I do not have an understanding of relativity. It makes my head hurt.

I do, however, have a bachelor's in aerospace engineering, and a master's in mechanical engineering. So I know a bit about dynamics. Even so, if I have made a mistake, I would gladly accept an explanation of what I did wrong.

So do the math and the tests yourself.

It's not just big, multi-million dollar experiments that confirm relativity. Heck, as an undergraduate student, I did a physics lab experiment that confirms it (muon trap experiment, very standard).

Relativity works. It matches reality and is consistently confirmed by it. So, as explained above, if you disagree with it, make sure that the alternative theory you present does as good of a job as it does.

No shadow powers? Yo, check this out yo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw-jzCfa4eQ

No thanks.

I have heard conspiracy researchers talk about that (such as Alan Watt if I remember correctly). And it does make sense. By hiding the real knowledge from the public they (the shadow powers) can keep and expand their own power.

Didn't they have a hit in 1973 with Baby Shake Your Love Thang

The wonderful thing is you can reproduce experiments yourself, given the required skillset to do so, and see if the results are right or wrong.

Oh, I've done some. The theories hold together about as well as yours on science.

As a derail, I'll ask if you believe man ever set foot on the moon. I know it's a derail, but your answer will be a damn good marker as to whether you have even the vaguest clue about how to make critical judgements.

I give you Swift:

"You cannot reason a man out of a position he didn't reason himself into"

Your arguments demonstrate that you lack reason, understanding and humility. Your collosal arrogance is matched only by your lack of desire to see the truth and your wishful thinking exists only because you refuse to accept the way the world actually is.

You have a nice day now.

Such experiment is actually more credible in this case imo since very expensive experiments that only a few scientists can perform are easier to manipulate. But I'm still skeptical. For example, the muon experiment could be a hoax in the sense that the real characteristics for muons could have been tampered with so that what they claim is a result of relativity is in reality an ordinary effect without relativity.

Why don't you take this to the Conspiracy Theories forum?
You've demonstrated plenty that you've no interest in actually learning the scientific theory, but are rather interested in the ways that scientists enact a massive conspiracy for purposes of gaining power through means unknown. Well, that's something to discuss, but it no longer belongs here.

I'm not 100% sure but I strongly suspect the whole Apollo moon program was a hoax, a public cover for the real space program carried out by the secret NRO to establish U.S. military preeminence in space. I believe the Saturn V rocket was real but was used for military NRO purposes and maybe didn't have such large dimensions as they claim (try to find detailed official schematics for Saturn V).

It could be worth starting a thread about this in the CT section perhaps I agree. It's just that this was the first thread I found about this topic.

And now I have all the information I need. Thanks.

Oh, you're no fun when you're entirely detached from reality. Remember, a little crazy theory goes a long way!

There seems to be different opinions about whether SR can deal with having a frame of reference for a photon. So maybe nobody has a real clue about how SR really is defined.

That's an interesting hypothesis, but you've done nothing to prove it.

Anybody with some pretty basic equipment can conduct an experiment that shows that the halflife of subatomic particles is greatly extended when those particles are moving at a significant fraction of c. Relativity explains this; if you expect to be taken seriously, you need to give a theory that does as good a job of explaining this (along with all of the other phenomena that we can run simple experiments on that confirm relativity).
