Merged Libyan civil war ending - politics post-Gaddafi

the choice to have a leader, and who that leader will be, remains with the people of libya.
it is quite evident that the people want him gone.
that is certainly good enough for me.

Stop being silly sir.

Most of the people loved the lion of the desert. This was obviously a NATO plot to get rid of someone who stood up to western imperialism. Not to mention the spiked instant coffee.

Hugo Chavez has explained all of this quite brilliantly.

But they'd be bombed into submission if it wasn't for NATO air support. They asked for support. Both the Libyans and the Arab league made that request and the Libyans are glad they got the help they asked for. So what's your problem?

i wasn't aware i had a problem.
i have never supported gadaffi.

You opposed the NATO intervention. You just said you respect what the Libayans want and they wanted support. So why were you against NATO intervention?

nato had no business there.
as a canadian taxpayer i have a stake in it.

NATO were asked to be there by the Libyans, the UN and the Arab League. Not to mention a duty to protect against genocide if the opportunity is there. They most definitely did have business in Libya.

You say you support the Libyan's choice of overthrowing Gaddafi but they would have been crushed under superior airpower by the better organized government forces if NATO had not intervened.

What's your beef with Gaddafi anyway? He's not that much different from Castro. They both model themselves on the Stalinist economy and police state.

Just because Qaddafi claimed he was going to slaughter an entire city in order to make an example of how disloyalty will be treated, and the people of that city were begging for NATO assistance, doesn't mean anyone had permission to mess with Biker Druids tax dollars.

Maybe BD had a problem with Qaddafi's capitulation to the imperialist Nazi's.

sorry, but you seem to have overlooked my question...
how many aussies were there?

How much?

One cent? A fraction of a cent?

You could just as well send a check to any hippie anti-war organization of your choice and you'd counteract that cent that went in the operation.

Your irrelevant question. None.

Do you acknowledge the Libyans, the Arab League and the United Nations requested support for rebels being massacred?

Do you acknowledge it?
