Although it may have been posted here before, if someone link me to the court schedule and any restrictions on how long the appeal can last, I would appreciate it.

I almost positive that there was some restriction on the dates of the appeal.
 
If Hellman allows acquittal, and the prosecution files for Supreme Court, will Amanda and Raffaele be released? Or are they held until the Supreme Court trial would be over?

That can be easily explained, once you understand the criminal mind. The "bloody footprints" were left on November 1st, 2007. And by December 18, 2007, the footprints had been detected, and Amanda damn well knew it! The inked impressions of Amanda's feet were not taken til May 12, 2008, while she was in prison. (Another serious blunder by the cops.) A full six months had elapsed since the date of the murder. By that time, May 12, her second toe had become longer than her big toe. Hmm. Conclusion: Amanda stretched her toe in prison.

BTW - do those things guys buy to lengthen certain ummm appendages :blush: actually work and would they work on a toe? Would prison officials allow a a plain brown wrapped package to be delivered to an inmate? :p

Followers of this case are well aware of Miss Represented. A blogger who represented herself as a psychologist giving insights into the Meredith Kercher case in 2009. It seems she misrepresented herself as an experienced Psychologist. In reality she is a recent University of Bath graduate working as a Social Media Analyst and has never been a working Psychologist. Her only previous work in psychology was a summer internship and before that her only previous work, according to her linkedin profile, was working at a spa.

Well alrighty then. Actually, it's kinda goes along with many of the main posters on the guilter sites. Most of them are in fact NOT who they say they are. They're just Cyber Stalkers with no real jobs. Or at best fake jobs. Lying about who you are sure doesn't help your credibility about a "cause" you're supposedly all about.

Fake trial lawyers, fake statement analysis experts, now a fake psychologist... I think I observed once before that there's something interesting going on with the PMF community's obsession with kowtowing to authority, claiming personal authority, and sniffing through the internet for evidence that pro-innocence speakers might be frauds misrepresenting themselves as authorities when they are not.

It's a bit like Peter Quennel's creepy obsession with young women contrasted with the frequent assertion by guilters that those defending Amanda Knox are all paunchy, unattractive, middle-aged weirdoes sexually obsessed with Amanda Knox. Or their constant projection of unsavoury motivations and character traits on to Knox and Sollecito.

As a group they sure seem to have some weird projection issues.

As to recent posts - am I the only person who finds it rather creepy that those on both sides (innocent or guilty) are in a race to "out" those who comment or blog on the case? I must admit I find it frightening yet interesting at the same time.

I cannot fathom why this happening but to me it appears that Meredith, Amanda, Raffaele, justice and truth have taken a secondary place to this "war" between the two sides.

You certainly aren't. The off topic, pointless and silly inter-forum wars have blighted this thread for years and reflect badly on those who perpetuate it. You just have to look at the last few posts..........
 
I too find it creepy. This activity is certainly not centered here but rather on another dedicated site.

The outing above is at least on the qualifications of someone actually claiming specific knowledge that she doesn't appear to have. Other outings of people that aren't claiming any special training are particularly troubling.

Having said that, who is Harry Rag/ The Machine? :D
 
Lionking, can you truly not tell the difference between falsely representing oneself as an authority such as this sham psychologist who was using this presumed authority to support the statements she was making about Amanda and actual authorities that include real lawyers, real biologists, real FBI agents who are being outed in an effort to silence their voice?

As for being off topic, when have you even attempted to argue any of the facts of the case? What is your theory of what happened that night that makes you stand up and throw rocks at the supporters of Amanda from behind your mask of anonymity?

Those people you mentioned outed themselves. The big difference is outing people that haven't used their real names, such as this poster named "Grinder". Bruce Fisher falls in between. He seems to be using his real name and put himself in center of the online kerfuffle by starting IIP and writing a book. Should people like Bruce, Peggy, Michael, and Bruce let it be known who they really are? I think so.

Also, I think people that make it their work to convict A & R (Harry/TM, SA, Kermit et al.) should provide at least some transparency.
 
Comodi alibi and break-in

From the New York Times story on the case:

The alibi comment is nonsense, but the break-in statement should be rebutted by the defense.
 
Yes, they should challenge whether it was staged and if staged why it could only be Amanda. I think that other items deserve more attention. The police chief should be pressed as to what his statement about "knowing the truth" meant. Also, what buckled meant.

TOD should be a major target of the defense. Why was the coroner, Lalli, removed from the case?

I know it is supposedly impossible, but what if Rudy did believe he had a date and that maybe someone else was aware that he was going to the cottage - couldn't he have staged it. Or he could have thrown it before she returned to see if anyone would hear it and then she showed.

I just think the staging thing is the prosecution's sucker play.

The problem with Rudy staging the breakin post murder is the same as with Amanda and Raffaele. He has to stick around in the house with a dead body making noise by breaking the window. if he wanted to get caught that badly, why dod he run off to Germany?

Breaking the window and then walking into the cottage with Meredith doesn't fully explain why Meredith's keys are missing or the dynamics of Rudy exiting the bathroom and immediately getting into a fight.

I find the fraud perpetuated by this person under the guise of being an uber professional pretty "creepy". It's one thing to blog about the case, it's another to lie about professional credentials to bolster one's position (and allow that perception to continue to exist).

Being that she was in college at the time, she was probably not a professional psychologist, yet she was claiming to be one. There are places that will kick you out of school for that kind of thing.

I digress though. Easy to just brush stuff like this under the rug when it's not your son or daughter being dragged through the mud.

Regardless, this person is a little different than just some commenter or someone with a little blog.

So many false equivalencies in this case it's almost astounding.

Good points about submissiveness of Italian media, but I don't think USA have any definitive moral high ground when it comes to judiciary. Enough to see how West Memphis 3 were denied justice or that Ward and Fontenot are still in jail (AFAIK).

Hmmm... Google translate is not very helpful with this one, but it seems the tone is just as confrontational as in the one above. Strangely no mention of the C&V report that should be in the spotlight for a few more hearings at least.

Well I know nothing of this person or the others who comment, blog, etc. (unless they make their identity known themselves). What I don't understand or like is the systematic stalking, outing, whatever you would like to term it, of anyone who has a position that is different from the one you hold.

As to this person being different than the average commenter or someone with a little blog, how so? Truth is always truth and deception always deception whether it is contained in a comment, a little blog (or whatever it is this person has). And how much weight and authority did this person carry as far as public perception of the case? Call out the untruth and deception with truth and facts. It is as if people on either side are keeping score as to how many people they can say "gotcha" to.

I give equal standing to the acts on both sides. Perhaps I do so because I belong to neither side.

And I would agree with you that yes, it is easy to brush stuff like this under the rug when it is not your son or daughter being dragged through the mud or your daughter which has been murdered.
