Anyone following the Casey Anthony trial

This case has got the nation riled up. I've been reading about death threats toward Casey, her parents, and the JURORS! The jurors for Heavens sake, what is wrong with people??

There are people in this country who feel it is their right to be Judge, Jury, AND Executioner!! A lot of the threats may be hollow, but they're creating an atmosphere of hate, making people's lives miserable, and may just influence others to act upon their desire to exact what they perceive to be justice.

Sad & gross!

The people making these threats do not love our country & the principles it was founded on. To them, patriotism is no diferent from rooting for a sports team.

When are people going to stop apologizing for the insidious behavior of this woman in spite of the precautionary aspects of the US justice system ...

The location of the tape as shown by crime scene photos didn't convince the jury the prosecution knew what is was talking about. The heart shaped sticker was seen by one (1) person who testified the image "disappeared" before she could take a picture of it.

When the US justice system actually a) discovers a body in a swamp when it's reported to them rather than months later, and b) files applicable, provable, criminal charges and then demonstrates their interpretation is correct beyond a reasonable doubt.

None of that occurred in this case.

In all honesty threats against jurors should be treated almost as harshly as treason it is that bad of a crime against the state and its people. These are people that did not choose to be on this jury but instead took part in their collective duty to the state and its people when asked. The state needs to send a clear message that those called upon will be protected and those that threaten the process will be dealt with harshly. Just a threat should be eligible for a life setence.

Apologizing? More like defending a persons right to be free of accusations she has never been convicted of.

But hey, that's just me.

I couldn't agree more.

People want to hang the jury because they made the decision that the state did not prove their case. Then people want to kill the jurors.

What message does this send to people who are picked for another high profile case? It sends the message that if you do not come back and convict a person in the Court of Public Opinions, we're going to revolt and threaten people.

Disgusting.
 
If society frowns on abortion, you can expect single party girls to be dumping their kids in swamps to regain the attention and affection that was stolen.

I agree for the most part. Maybe not life sentences, but make it a felony in the 2nd degree.

Also, the Judge should just tell the press to bugger off in regards to the names of the jurors. It's obvious that people will harass them and may possibly harm them. So, to protect the rest of the jurors, leave the names sealed for 3 years.

So what? That is their right as American Citizens. The press will want to interview jurors no matter the verdict, so it's not like you've got much, if any, standing room.
