Materialism (championed by Darwinists) makes reason Impossible.

You must be moving in the wrong circles, have you not experienced the power of humility in over-riding the wims and foibles of the ego?

This is why we can't have anything nice; hippies get hold of it.

Among scientists, yes; they put reality before their personal beliefs.

Among believers, no; they do the exact opposite.

Yes interdependence is a fact of the situation, however the process is individual to each person.

The transitory nature of nature yes, not necessarily reality.

You keep forgetting the most important lesson:

(hidden for extra effect

Everything I tell you is a lie.

Seriously you have read the Dao de Zhing and you still talk about truth and purpose?

"If there were no laughter, the Tao would not be what it is."

Yet the Tao is not the laughter.

The meaning is a mystery, like the truth and the purpose.

A good dose of humility would cancel out that pitfall, while not canceling out the thought process.

To some of us.

Humility is highly underrated.

Using words to hide the meaning rather than communicate plus a feeling of superiority because you are privy to the mysteries of the universe.

As I said.

You tell me what a mystery is and it ceases to exist, right?
It is no more.
It's an ex-mystery.
It has gone to meet its maker...

I talk about truth and purpose only as mysteries. You won't hear me trying to explain what they are.
Tao like Zen is a silent discipline, in discussion I refer other traditions.

No a mystic keeps the mysteries at hand.

They can be used in maintaining a perspective on things, for example consciousness.

How very convenient for you.

Humility does not cancel out the thought process or asking questions. The fact of Truth and purpose being unknowable is fairly easy to arrive at.

Why would humanity cancel out the thought process? Who says that truth and purpose are unknowable? If it so easy to arrive at perhaps you would explain the process to us. This all sounds like your usual gibberish.

We still don't know the nature of these alleged mysteries. Oh,I forgot, they are unknown unknowns. Not there,in other words.

Where do we find these unknowable facts?
