Continuation Part 2 - Discussion of the Amanda Knox case

Does anyone have a link or pdf to rudy's letter disputing Alessi? I am curious if his hand writing matches previous samples, e.g. The german prison diary. It is very odd that he would have trouble reading his own handwriting.

Hmmm, found them. I certainly do not claim to be a hand-writing expert, and acknowledge that people's hand-writing might change a bit over time. I also believe that "graphology" in terms of reading personalities is pretty much pseudo science, but there is certainly a legitimate science of handwriting analysis in forensics. In my lay opinion, these hand writing samples of Rudy look like they were written by entirely different people, there is no resemblance between the samples at all.

Sigh, I am still a noobie and unable to post links.

sample #1: While writing his diary in Koblenz prison (Germany), Rudy wrote with very little vertical slant in his cursive handwriting, and the overall text ramped off to the right of the page. Indeed quite a few of the characters were slanted to the left even. The ramping off, could have been due the the pages not being lined.
[Reference: PMF prison diary or in slightly higher resolution from Candace Dempsey's True Crime Blog, see the links on the right of the page.]

sample #2: Yet while writing his "rebuttal" of Mario Alessi from Viterbo prison (Italy), his handwriting was very intensely and consistently slanted to the right, and has a much more "proper" style to it.
[Reference: do a google search for these words: "Guede, la lettera a News Mediaset". I recommend saving the JPG file and then opening it and zooming it to view the]

Maybe prison does that to you, but I can't see any resemblance between the writing styles shown in samples #1 and #2.

To be more conclusive, another data point would be useful. Does anyone else know of any other writing samples of Rudy? What would be also interesting of course, is a hand-writing sample of Mignini.

Just a thought, and it all stems from Guede not wanting to read "his own letter" in court.

Tell us, please, how did she kill Meredith Kercher? Did she float around the room and did not touch anything and somehow fatally stabbed poor Meredith? Or maybe she just stood just outside the room and killed Meredith only using her will? Huh?

I'm sure the court verdicts, or at least a summary, will be online somewhere. If you're interested in the case I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction to find them.

You mean the Massei report? It also does not say how did Amanda Knox kill Meredith Kercher, nor way and when.

Edit - Actually, it does say that, but unfortunetely, it's not backed up by any credible evidence.

Perhaps you should read the trial transcripts. I suspect you'll be able to find that information in there.

This thread is massive. My first post on it.

I'm Canadian and find it hard to believe anyone that posts on here (I would suspect skeptics to be more educated about a subject then the average person) could come to the conclusion she is guilty.

The Rolling Stone has a great article that just came up in the last few days. A great read.

To me the biggest thing pointing to her innocence or rather Guede's sole involvement in the crime is the fact he never flushed the toilet after a number 2. To me it points to him being in the apartment alone and hearing the door open when he's on the can and not flushing to avoid making noise. I suppose the pro-guilt people will say he just forgot in the mad scramble after the murder... but I don't know flushing the toilet after a number 2 seems as natural as pulling up your pants. I'm almost certain I'd go with the first scenario....... It's alot better then the stupid orgy theory.

In the trial transcripts I can also find Curatolo's testimony, right? I can find also how Massei argued with Mignini about mulitple issues. Speaking of Massei, are you aware that he didn't agree with the prosecutor's theory of how the murder went down?

Are you also aware that Mignini admitted that he can't place Knox in the room and maybe she was just outside the room and orchestrated the murder from there?

Do you know that Guede told his Skype pal that Knox and Sollecito weren't involed and changed his version after he found out that they were both arrested?

Are you aware that Knox was denied a lawyer when she was interrogated?

Did you see dr Stefanoni moving around the murder scene with a mop? Especially the part when she's entering the murder room with the mop's head almost touching the ground? The video is on YouTube, go look for it.

Are you aware that there are NO photos proving that glass was on top of the clothes in Filomena Romanelli's room?

This case is a joke. Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito are both innocent.

Crap argument.

shoal

Before she killed? I think everyone would agree on that
DrDave,

What time do you think that Meredith Kercher died and why do you pick that particular time? What happened immediately before and afterward?

Bruce Fisher has explained why Rudy couldn't read his own letter in court: GroundReport. Somewhat sad.

Mary_H, thanks for this quote from Fine. And thanks also Fine.

Guede's testimony reiterated the feelings he expressed in a letter written in 2010. In a strange courtroom display, his letter was read aloud by Prosecutor Giuliano Mignini because Guede claimed to be unable to read his own handwriting. Judge Hellmann found this odd prompting him to ask Guede if he understood the big words written in the letter; in a very telling admission, Guede's answer was no.

That is very revealing.

1.) Mignini is a criminal.
2.) Guede is illiterate.
3.) Judge Hellmann may be THE ONE.

Or do you disagree that she was innocent before she killed?

Yes, Caper, this was really very poor. If you want lessons in how to construct a proper argument, look to a poster called Lothian who sometimes posts here. He would never resort to half-witted snark in lieu of cogent rhetoric.

Oh wait.

Never mind.

I am sure Caper got the joke, even if it sailed over your head.

Perhaps you could PM someone and they will explain it to you.

You ask a lot of questions.

DrDave,

I have addressed a couple of comments to you, and I will await your answers to those before answering your question.

Here is the answer I gave

- perhaps offtopic. Is there a reason to your titles? e.g. Coal in the last one and shoal before. Sometimes I get them. Last two, not so much
