Conspiracy question - the immortals amongst us

Not really very 'modern' but the presence of immortals are a common feature of Mormonism. Might Google "The Three Nephites" as an example of the folklore.

When in Luke 9:27 Jesus says something like 'there are some here who will not taste of death till they see the kingdom of God'. That is taken quite literally to mean that some of Jesus's followers are alive today.

Don't know about any involvement in conspiracy though. If anything, maybe being raised to believe in such things might incline you to accept similar folklore like stories as being true.
 
I will take the serious answers to mean, no current conspiracies about them with some left over belief from religious interpretation.

I'm not aware of any recent theories. David Icke believes that certain people are in reality shape-shifting alien reptiles, but he cannot deny that these people grow old and die like everyone else. So his idea is more along the lines of "bloodlines", whereby these nefarious reptiles breed more reptiles, who continue to rule the world.

Vampirism, still believed by many, involves the belief in the "un-dead" who are immune from normal death, but have to feed on blood.

Shia Islam has the concept of the "Hidden Imam". The twelth Imam, Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan, disappeared while still a young child, in 874 AD, and the Shia believe that he is still in the world but hidden by God from view, until a time that God decides when he will reappear as the "Madhi" or Messiah.

Yeah, but won't happen until we are a spacefaring species and he will take the name Mua'dib. I think I read about it somewhere.
 
The movie The Man From Earth is an excellent treatment of this subject.

Best sci-fi film I've ever seen that has absolutely no special effects at all. It's a "talker," but great fun regardless.

I always find weird similarities between cts and rpgs.

Both require one person to set up a scenario that is menacing, but not too menacing as to imply hopelessness, and another group of people to in some way believe what is being said, and act accordingly.

Heck, 90% of any of my scenarios in d and d or freak legions are conspiracy based.

I think if we had a " bibles for missions" like project to send old 3rd edition d and d stuff to ct'ers , we could do some real good in the world. They would still get their ct fix but not have to do all the silly **** that goes along with it.
 
I saw Henry Kissenger on Colbert Report the other night...first thought was "man! he's still alive?" Hell, he was old in the 60's.
I guess Illuminati (TM) membership has privileges.
