The Biblical Realities of Hell

The difference between Edge and most of the rest of us here is that he simply believes... we THINK before we believe.

I want to add my vote to the request that Edge keep posting.

It's partially because of posters like Edge, DOC and Paul Bethke, and (before I signed up) 154 and 1 in Christ to name just a couple, that I've become convinced that I'm an Atheist.

So - Edge - keep up the good work!

Thanks!

:)

I have guided a couple of friends who were not sure about god to the b'leever threads here and now they have no doubts that gods are a crock. Thank you Edge and co.

Another 6.7 earthquake in the northeastern part of Japan, flooding in North Dakota, Monday 43 tornados through the Midwest, and one in New Jersey last night.
If you count Hawaii as a State then there’s your volcano, but here we still have to get through 6.3 months till the end of the year.
As far a tsunami, there’s also still time and on this side of the world there is the volcano in Chile.
I think that it’s clear that the U.S. is experiencing quit a few natural disasters; don’t ask for more because you might get what you want.

I feel sorry for them because they have accepted your snidely outlook on life and you smart arse remarks to others as an explanations as to why you think the way you do.
You only get back in life, what you, give.
I have turned my cheek enough in here.
In yellow fixed for you, your a believer too, just one that believes you know it all.

That cheek you keep turning must be one below the belt because that's the same area that you talk out of.

And if you've turned your cheek "enough", how are you going to deal with the rest of the ridicule and insults you're bound to receive?

So, back in the so-called "Good old days", before almost instant communications, it took days, weeks, months, maybe never, to hear about things. These things are always happening edge, you just didn't hear about them so fast, so they became old news and people didn't care to hear it.

Japan having another small earthquake, they know that is going to happen, nothing new. Flooding in No. Dak, nothing new out ther, it flooded in So. Dak. the year after I left in 1970. Tornados in the Midwest, geeezzzz. And has for a tornado in New Jersey, we had one in Philly about 10 years ago, they can happen anywhere, look it up.

What the hell do you mean count it as a state, It is a state.

And how the hell do you think the Hawaii Islands chain was made, god pushed up some dirt, they all where made by volcanos as the Pacific Plate moved over a hot spot.

READ SOME REAL SCIENCE BOOKS.

Mr. Edge, I assure you that I never get what I want in one of your threads.

You have been here seven years. You know how it works. If you say "this continent is experiencing all natural disasters at once or at this time" then we assume you mean this continent. Hawaii is not on this continent. Chile is not on this continent. Also, "it could happen before the end of the year" does not equal "at this time."

Furthermore, there are no hurricanes "at this time" on "this continent."

The fallacy you have committed is moving the goalposts

There is a lesson to be learned, Edge. If someone tells you something, you should investigate it yourself before repeating it.

The argument was about current eruptions. Edge was trying to trying to use Kilauea's March 2011 eruption as an example of a natural disaster. Of course, I'll leave it to other posters to decide if an eruption that shoots lava 80 feet in the air and does not destroy property or human life counts as a natural disaster.

Yes, but if he knew why this happens we would not be having this coming from him. In fact if he knew anything this thread would not have started.

This. Ten times this.

I do not contest any part of your post.

In yellow fixed for you, you're a believer too, just one that believes you know it all.

The fallacy you tried to commit is tu quoque

Dafydd never claimed in this thread nor any other that he or she knows everything. All we are claiming is that evidence should be used to determine what exists and what does not exist.

Well, He's only a monster if you consider killing hundreds of thousands of random, innocent people in a capricious manner for the sole reason of heralding His return to be monstrous. Of wait, that pretty much defines the personification of monstrous. Yet, somehow Edge wants us to consider the possibility of worshiping such a madman. None for me, thanks.

I believe that there is no evidence for the existence of any god or gods. Earthquakes and volcanoes have been around since before gods were invented,I believe that too. I do not know it all,but I know that disasters are not proof of the existence of a sky daddy.

Well, just for argument's sake, Popocatepetl has been blasting ash again lately, and that's in Mexico, which is part of North America. I don't think it counts as a natural disaster, though.

In yellow what you wrote there isn't what they recorded, actually it is the opposite.

So you are claiming that the people who died in this year's floods, wildfires, and tornadoes were not random; therefore God is targeting them for a specific reason. Yikes - I hope sharpshooter God doesn't put me in His sights.

And as for them not being innocent, are you suggesting that the toddlers who died in this year's natural disasters were guilty of something?

Earthquake in Alaska last night 7.4 with tsunami warning for that state.
Northern Pacific Ocean has triggered a tsunami warning along Alaska's Aleutian Islands.
The tsunami warning was cancelled.
