I'll be arriving Tuesday night, and probably up for activities on Wednesday.

Since we're on a new page (for most viewers), perhaps another reminder of what we're doing is in order:

The Red Rocks Tour is currently scheduled to leave at 1 PM, on Sunday, July 17th.

Here is the list of attendees, with various columns added for kicks and lulz and such. If you wish to add your name, or otherwise alter the table, don't forget to remove the QUOTE tags. Thank you.

With ~18 people on the list, we are either going to need a van, or go in multiple vehicles.

But, if we go in multiple vehicles, we are going to need one psychic in every car to communicate Kitten's commentary to everyone as we drive. Either that or we use those mundane cell phones and walkie-talkies they got in electronics stores.

We should seriously start to consider logistics, here.

We will probably meet up in the hotel at 1:00 PM, then once all or most of us are accounted for, we leave for Red Rocks.

If that much remains true, we might use the horse statue in front of the conference area escalators as the meeting spot. Or, if you all prefer, we could meet near the reception desk in the front of the hotel.

However, in the unlikely event that we ride ponies to Red Rocks, it might even be more convenient to meet in the equestrian center. (Yes, South Point really does have one! But, no I don't think the pony idea is really viable.)

Are we skipping Steve Novella's presentation and Randi & DJ's 'closing remarks' then? They're not over until 1:30. And will we be back in time for the million dollar challenge? :confused:
 
I'm fine with waiting until 1:30 for those who want to catch the closing remarks.

As for inter-car communication, I was sort of expecting to get out of my car when we got to Red Rocks. If everyone else does something similar, we can talk then.

I can understand you wanting to see one, but, having been to last year's, I can assure you that watching paint dry or grass grow is infinitely more exciting. Of course, if you think there's the possibility that the challenger might somehow demonstrate their claimed powers, then the prospect becomes a little more interesting, but the process itself is very tedious, and the audience has to be dead quiet for long stretches at a time if the mechanics of the test are at all similar to last year.

Well, I highly doubt anything worth seeing is going to happen... and I'm not always good at being quiet. :o I'm really more concered about getting back in time to head over to the Rio for P&T.
