• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

The cross-dressing was a stunt in freshman year of college. Mildly embarrassing but mostly silly fun.

I do have to love this detail from the porn star's press conference today:

Allred read some of the emails Weiner sent Lee, including, "Alright, my package and I are not going to beg. We both see the hazard of going down the path of comparative sexiness."

Another read, "You aren't giving my package due credit."

How could he possibly think that a porn starlet would be impressed with his "package"?

Pretend I posted another 1,000 words about political relevance versus voyeurism and semi-righteous indignation here.

As long Vitter is in office, I don't consider Republican opinions on this "scandal" relevant.

Personally, I think pretty much all "scandals" of this nature are a distraction from what really matters. It sickens me that both the Democrats and Republicans play these sorts of "gotcha" games while we have bigger issues with which to deal.

But I have to admit, the porn star angle... nice :)

I'm not sure that I do either.

The Daily Mail, UK's equivalent to the Nat Enquirer. I think I like The Sun better (at least page 3 ;) ).

I agree for the most part.

But turn about is always fair play. The only way to even the score is to dig up a GOP sex scandal. It's all about throwing the other side off their game.
