You're confusing me with Wildcat, but even so saying Jews are in charge is different from saying Jews are solely in charge. You claim to have been a teacher once, surely you get that?

Totally ignore the wholehearted rejection of the partition plan by the Arabs when it was applicable, erase the 3 major failed wars of aggression by the Arabs thereafter, and decades long 'low-intensity', proxy warfare and terrorism employed by Israel neighbors, and let's just go back to 1947 and pretend nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Let's see how many useful idiots try and eat this up and argue 'legality'....

so you still can't say what it is that makes Israel the home of the Jews.....as you cling to the denial that there is any difference. The contradiction remains untouched as you search song lyrics for diversions :)

I think the diversion here is how you're trying to put forth a smear without actually saying anything that would need to be defended.

There is a great deal of difference between "Australia is home to the Australian aborigines" and "Australia is the home of the Australian aborigines" and you know this.



Im simply asking you to explain the contradiction in your statements. I suspect that no matter how many times I ask you will not respond.

I can only conclude that you think the title "home of the jews" is meaningless because Israel is also the home of the muslims...and the home of the Druze.

surprising that you declare something so important to Israel is meaningless.
 
Mycroft rather than us go round and round for another few years maybe I could highlight the the contradiction in your position with a few simple questions.
I'll pose a few straightforward simple questions, state my answer and reasoning and ask you to do the same.

first question...Is the US a Jewish state?
My answer is no, my reasoning is that its not a jewish state because it makes no distinction between Jews and non jews.

what would be your answer and reasoning?

Let's simplify this, why don't you just list the rights Jews have in Israel that non-Jews don't have? It must be quite a lengthy list to get you so upset!

why do you think i would be upset? I just can't understand how the following is not a contradiction.

Israel is a jewish state...
there is no difference between Jews and non jews in isreal...


perhaps you could participate in this question before proposing another?

You imply that there is a difference. Aside from immigration policy, I'm not seeing it.

Don't be shy, list some of the moe outrageous inequities. I bet you have lots of them!

eta: like Mycroft, I'm not seeing the contradiction you are so concerned about. Thus my request for examples to illustrate what you obviously feel is a grave problem.

Instead of hinting and doing the wink wink nod nod thing why don't you just come out and list some of the legal inequities between Jews and non-Jews in Israel?

How about the change of PA strategy in potentially moving from the 1949 Israel-Jordan armistice lines (UN res. 181) to that of demanding a second (or more) shot at the 1947 UN partition plan?

How in the hell can this be a realistic strategy the would be accepted at the UN?

You conveniently didn't understand the question. Mycroft is not asking you if you think said people are indeed 2nd class citizens (in your opinion), but whether the statement would inherently imply 2nd class status.

Yes, they live in a very dangerous and hostile region. If it wasn't constantly threatened, civil liberties would improve. "2" is still pretty good.

But I'm told there is no difference in civil liberties between any Israeli citizens....what problem with civil liberties gets them rated lower that Australia?
 
The way Australia and Canada have been treating their natives we don't have anything to criticize Israel about.
