Any Update on Silverstein's Lawsuit?

So do you still think LS is on the hook for rebuilding 1WTC?

You are not in a position to ask questions, after at least 8 months of continuing libel and lying.

You are only in a position to finally man up, tally up the costs, liablities and revenues, and show how much Silverstein won or lost due to 9/11.
Or, much more likely, man up and admit you were lying out of your arse the entire time when you slandered the man with your libellous claims.

Hopefully, in all this you learned something. And don't think I've overlooked the fact that in all your hasty calculations you have not provided a single source or link for your numbers.

You overlooked the fact that these were largely YOUR numbers. (Except for the lost business, which is something you declared irrelevant, thus negating the raison d'etre of any and all investments anywhere by anybody.

So show me a single source which claims LS lost money on the WTC.

RedIbis, you are reversing the easy concept of "burden of proof" here: It was YOU who made the initial claim about Silverstein's financial success wrt 9/11: You said he "made out like a bandit". Naturally, you must provode the evidence.
You have failed to do so, despite having been asked to do just that hundreds of times probably.
You have lied dozends of times about having backed up your claims; you have not backed up your claims.

You are not in a position to have your libel and slander disproven.

It is simply a matter of common sense that when you lose business on such a large lease for more than 10 years, must fight legal battles, and courts restrict your maximum payback from insurances, that you are more than likely to end up with a loss.

Your goofball numbers still have him half a billion dollars in the black. That's 500 million! Even if you're vaguely in the ballpark, that's a lot of loot, and a whole lot of bandits would love to rake in that windfall. Well done Oy.

These are mostly YOUR goofball numbers, remember? Always assuming the best of the best cases. Isn't it abundantly clear that these 500 million are utterly - utterly!!! - unrealistic and over-optimistic in the extreme. And didn't I make it fully clear that this goofball calculation is obviously - obviously!!! - lacking some negative numbers still?

But you are 100% right in one regard: Any calculation that ends with Silversteen in black is a goofball calculation.

My goofball calculation has one huge - huge!!! - advantage over yours: Mine exists. Your goofball calculation does not even exist! Even though we have been asking for it hundreds of times over the course of many months.

How pathetic - pathetic!!! - you are!

(Oh and by the way: 500 million over the course of 10 years, that's 50 million annually. On an investment worth over 3 billion, that's not even 2% - what a bad investment.

This made me chuckle. Oystein now determines who can ask questions and who can't, and I had to keep the childish namecalling, simply for posterity.

You're cracking, but at least you now admit LS made a substantial profit off of the horrific events of 9/11.

Why do you continue to lie so blatantly when everyone can just read the thread?

So, a quick quiz for lurkers. Is RedIbis, in the sentence above:

(a) Demonstrating an inability to comprehend the post he's replying to, or
(b) Lying?

Dave

Let me guess, you're going to quibble over the word "substantial."

No. He's going to quibble over the words "admit" and "profit".

You know, the "admit" that I didn't do, instead I made it clear in the strongest words (you called it "cracking") that of course I do not admit the resukt of that goofball calculation as being remotely near the truth.
And that "profit" which you have failed to prove in 8 months and more, despite having been asked to provide proof for your slanderous libel hundreds of times.

From an anonymous, internet poster? It means nothing to me. Just like your namecalling.

It apparently means nothing to you that you are a liar.
As everybody reading here can plainly see.

Actually, he didn't - and in not-so-shocking form, you're LYING again.

Get a new hobby.

Most of your questions have been answered in this thread and with the articles I've linked to. I'm not responsible for your laziness. And being lazy is giving you the benefit of the doubt, it might actually be something worse.
I love the old "go find it yourself" chestnut.

Is it too much to ask for hard proof showing this alleged fraud? Do any of his insurers mention conflicts regarding the amount they owe him for rebuilding? Any objections over how he's spending the money? I've yet to see any of this kind of hard proof.

I just see his actions after 9/11 as unnecessarily aggressive to profit off of a tragedy when he could have worked with the city to find more realistic rebuilding options.

OK, so it comes back to the question: Did he actually profit from it?

Can you provide the numbers? Profit isn't as cut and dried as people think it is. It can be difficult to tell the difference between profit and loss when, either way, a huge amount of money changes hands.

I just see his actions after 9/11 as unnecessarily aggressive to profit off of a tragedy..

and yet to-date, you still have not proved that Silverstein has made more money from 9-11 insurance then he would have made in revenue.... had 9-11 never occured.

hell, you refuse to even provide info on how much insurance money he has received and what his projected profits were for the last 10 years.

basically, you 100% REFUSE to back-up all of your assertions.

I shall no longer ask you for evidence, for you clearly don't have evidence for something that has not occured. If you DID have evidence, you would PROUDLY repost it, again..and again...and again.

by your and other Truthers' clear and consistent refusal to provide evidence for this claim, it can be called what it is:

a lie

Red still doesn't seem to understand that he is making a very specific claim...that the money LS took in in revenue as a direct result of 9/11 is greater than the amount that he paid out. By a substantial margin, in fact!

Well, not so specific...he hasn't said what standard of accounting he is using. Are we talking gross profit, or net? Are we relying on current tax laws for our calculations, or the laws in effect in 2001, or a mixture? Or, are we just using a theoretical accounting model to come up with an informal estimate?

That leaves out the question of what criteria we are using to identify income and outgo as being related to 9/11. Are we counting opportunity cost? Do we take into account business ventures that opened up as a result of 9/11 that wouldn't have been there otherwise? Or, is it only insurance money vs. rebuilding costs?

We will never know, because he is evidently talking out of his hat.
