This morning on “Fox and Friends” presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty appeared in a sham and rehearsed interview. It was apparent to anyone watching it, Fox News has endorsed Pawlenty as their candidate in 2012. Unlike other morning cable shows, “Fox and Friends” programming is always rehearsed with the hosts reading their morning talking points from the script provided them. Watching the interview it was apparent Pawlenty knew what he would be asked in advance.

However the interviewer messed up her lines and asked Pawlenty that since “VP Dick Cheney has said he worships the ground Pawlenty walks on” will he make Cheney his Vice President if he gets the nomination? Pawlenty expressed confusion at the off-scripted question and said no he would not make Cheney his VP choice. The interviewer realizing her mistake rephrased the question by asking “will Pawlenty pick Paul Ryan as his VP since he worships the ground he walks on?”

I don’t remember his answer, not that it matters.

Doesn't sound like an endorsement to me. It's just Fox News going all wobbly-kneed over any right-winger. Nothing new here.

Fox and Friends is by far the most vapid, anti-intellectual show on Fox News. It's painful to watch.

It is not very unusual for people being interviewed to have a basic idea of what questions they will be asked. Obviously the one question you feel he was not ready for was unscripted. Or, Of course it could have been confusion because the question didn't make sense.

i would advise not inflicting any pain on yourself and don't watch it.

then you basically have Obama.. a war hawk who is pro choice...
I wouldn't exactly call Obama a hawk, though he did stay in Afghanistan to continue looking for the Taliban and Bin Laden. That's one reason why the GOP is going to have a hard time unseating him. Their usual "he's weak on terror" rhetoric is at odds with his actual actions.

Pawlenty has no grassroots supporters or volunteers.. if it wasnt for the fox news cheerleaders he would fall into obscurity

That will definitely be a problem, though not a game-killer. Sometimes being a dark horse is an advantage. But no, I don't think Pawlenty is a serious threat to be the GOP nominee. Fox just likes Republicans. Any Republicans. Donald Trump, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin... they gush over all of them.

Just like any prominent Democrat is the WORST EVER! Except for that other Democrat, he's the WORST EVER too!

That sort of thing can be glossed over. Neither GW Bush and McCain were strongly anti-abortion. Some far right Christians tried to make an issue of it, but it didn't work.

Yeah.

The danger isn't so much abortion keeping him from getting the GOP bid. It is hard core social conservatives deciding to nominate their own candidate or going with the (theocratic) Constitution Party candidate.

Nader effect and all of that.

Missing the point, people. If Fox has endorsed Pawlenty, then Palin and anyone else currently working for Fox News are obviously going to continue to do so, and not run.
