As for the OP, I've posted a serious response by another poster several times, but as of yet, nobody has taken this as a proper starting point for discussion. I wonder why that is....

the UN Charter and the Geneva Conventions, which Israel is a signatory of, are both very clear: refugees from conflict have the right to return to their property and homes.

put it this way: if the Palestinian refugees NO LONGER have any right to their property and homes, than neither did and do the Jews from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

We'll have to agree to disagree here. I've never been particularly comfortable with the right of conquest. Land should belong to the population that actually uses it for sustenance, not whoever deploys the biggest military.

That's not how it works in real life on Planet Earth, among animals or humans. You may as well say that no one should ever be sad.

eta: though to nitpick you should say "best" military, "biggest" doesn't always win the war.

all 750,000 Arab refugees "chose war" when they fled or were expelled by Zionist forces in 1948?

therefore NONE of them have any right to return or get compensated for lost property?

would it have hurt him THAT much to say something like: "we will be willing to give the Palestinians at least 90% of the West Bank, and perhaps more with mutually agreed-upon land swaps??

I mean, the Hafrada Wall takes in less that 10% of the West Bank, so even if he said "the Hafrada Wall shall become Israel's new border", he would still be offering the Arabs 91.5% of the West Bank.

and as far as keeping a think corrodor along the Jordanian border, couldn't he have offered something in return?

why is he soo afraid of details?

What does that have to do with stealing private property? Why do you justify theft when Jews are the thieves? Did the Nazis steal from Jews fair and square too?

Because this wasn't a negotiation, it was a conversation with an ally and an address in front of Congress.

In April 1932 the World Jewish Organization declared war (their term) on Germany. Economic war on Germany means economic retribution against Jews who leave Germany. Jews recognize the fundamental injustice of their property claims against Germany.

On the assumption your home is situated on property that is smaller than Israel there can no be problem at all with stealing it from you.

For all you 17th century types out there. The world has outlawed property forfeiture as a punishment for crime. It has also outlawed corruption of blood.

Consider Israel a D'n'D tale from days of yore without the dragons but with blimps like Sharon.
