I'd rather we remained in the cold war, and neither side won. Both were forcing the other to progress. the Soviets forced the west to progress on human rights and race issues, especially in the third world, and the west forced the soviets to progress in human rights and self-determination issues.

Of course, I know you like your world view to be black and white, yes and no, good and evil, but that simply isn't the way it is. It is a little more complicated than that, oh christian crusader clad one.

And I'd take Allende over Pinochet any day. That doesn't quite equate to the pinko commies ruling the world and winning the cold war. Nor would they have, even had Allende stayed in power for his democratically elected term.

Within their own borders, for the greater good and with the backing of the population and cross-party support? And they're taking it from a rich multinational? I wouldn't exactly lose sleep. Widespread murder, torture, and political arrests however, are a crime against humanity.

Son, let me explain something to you.

There are a million posts being posted a second, and probably half of them are angry political posts thinly veiled as mature debate (with little jabs thrown in all the time, and false indignations) The other half are Mac vs P.C. guys with a couple of Linux freaks screaming at each other.
