I am a discoverer of the medicinal pendant with Buddha. Registration Office Products Medicinal rejects a simple test by wearing a pendant, so that
Act of 6 September 2001, Official Gazette of 2008 No. 45 pos. 271 Article II of the Pharmaceutical Law 32 prohibits the entry of treatment with other medicines than pharmaceuticals.
I've included the contents of the law laid down by the Polish parliament has blocked the treatment of pendant
32) a medicinal product - a substance or mixture of substances presented as having properties for treating or preventing disease in humans or animals or administered in order to make a diagnosis or to restoring, improving or modifying physiological functions by exerting a pharmacological, immunological or metabolic action;

This Act does not wish to change the authorities in Poland to a legislative initiative. Individuals can explore it by wearing a pendant. Those who want to investigate it are buying it from me and wear. However, there are a negligible amount. Although the increasing number of investigators confirmed its medicinal properties that interest him is weak. Is the power of extrasensory that his power is placed in the words of Polish foreign songs. Placed there words that inform the pendant, and I treat that I had been poisoned by psychotropic substances, instead of cure them. I put them on the Internet. Although individuals do not associate those words had dared to write anything about these words. The provisions in the JREF know casually. My guess is that they are involved. The test is simple pendant you wear it one year to find out that it has curative power. If America will be willing to examine it, I can share them.

If you've included the contents of the law laid down by the Polish parliament has blocked the treatment of pendant then I can see why a loving Juliet would sin rather than face truth, even though Hitler claimed that a musician is classical.

No. I don't think so. Of course not. It's false that the power is of extrasensory that his power is placed in the words of Polish foreign songs. I don't know many jazzy musicians. Mozart had many good qualities, like music, but even Mozart was afraid of truth.

Abraham Lincoln might have thought that you can share them, but not Al Capone. An unhappy citizen is still not an Al Capone. I'm surprising.

I just remembered this. A phonograph, home and van are critical yet Miernik desired a light-tube! To see a station wagon as an appearance or reflection in a revolting glass inflamed Miernik. Why a light-tube? A theoretician might sing that a light-tube is valuable; infuriatedly the theoretician croons "the light-tube is important nevertheless Miernik fantasizes of cottages and station wagons." Spooky. Enthralling. This is peculiar. The theoretician cries of a light-tube during the time that Miernik fantasizes of cars. Would Diane think about the loves of Miernik? Diane fantasizes that the theoretician is insane. A light-tube? Why? Diane hummed "Theoretician, you're loony and so is Miernik. A light-tube indeed!" Miernik indubitably was aloof. The theoretician now was arrogant. But Diane spoke to them "What is your opinion?" Simmer down. Diane began to croon of hounds and crows, even children or a brother. Terrifying!
 
Pendant who discovered the cure for its construction. The investigator may be on the Internet to see what the building has a charm that I found. Volunteers can carve it yourself and it will heal them. If the investigator would have access to the news of the pendant is not blind to blind.
 
Your claim that your pendant has magical healing powers is a paranormal claim and therefore qualifies for the $1m challenge, but in order to test it JREF would have to do a double blind trial, which you would have to pay for. Do you understand this?

Until a double blind trial is done, by JREF or anyone else you can persuade/pay to do one, you have no evidence that your claim is true and there is no good reason for anyone, including you yourself, to think it's true. It's very easy to inadvertantly fool yourself into thinking a medical treatment is effective when it isn't, which is why a double blind trial is necessary to eliminate all the things that might mislead you (the placebo effect, regression to the mean, confirmation bias).

I am quite sure that your belief that your pendant has healing powers is due to these well known sources of error, so eliminating them with a double blind trial would only prove you wrong, not win you a million dollars. I would strongly advise you to do at least some proper testing of your own before applying to JREF.

A simple test you could do would be as follows:

1. Make, say, 20 identical pendants and use the charm on 10 of them.

2. Give the pendants to someone you trust, telling them which are which. He or she then puts them in randomly numbered bags, keeping a note of which numbers correspond to the healing pendants and which to the ordinary pendants. They are then given back to you, so you no longer know which is which.

3. You then give the pendants to 20 friends/relatives/colleagues, telling them that you want to find out if they have healing powers and asking them to wear them for, say, six months.

4. You monitor their health for the six months and at the end of it decide which of them you think were wearing the charmed pendants and which the uncharmed ones.

5. You give the numbers of the ten pendants you think are the charmed ones to your friend who compares them with his note and tells you whether you're right. If you've correctly identified at least 8 of the ten charmed pendants you will be justified in applying to JREF and paying for a proper trial.

Which may be good enough to win the Challenge, so he'd have a tiny down payment on the trials the FDA will demand. Once upon a time, there was no US Food and Drug Administration and all sorts of junk with lots of claims but no clinical value was sold.* Those unhappy days are long over (except for supplements and homeopathy), but as near as I can tell, Miernik is making similar claims. I would be more sure, but Babelfish's Polish-English routines need work.


* - And I, for one, regret the removal of heroin and cocaine from the non-prescription drug shelves. And the soft drink aisle. :eek:

And why is it that the former USSR and Warsaw Pact are so full of woo? I was a kid when Sputnik went up and we were told how far ahead of us commie kids our age were in science and math, but I'm not seeing it.
 
I should perhaps explain to anyone who doesn't frequent the MDC forum that Miernik Wieslaw originally posted in the JREF FAQ thread to complain that his emails to JREF had not been answered, and it was me who suggested he start a thread so that forum members could help him craft an application which JREF would take seriously. I suspected he had a lot of work to do to reach that point, but not this much.

His claim is very straight forward, magic pendant. If he cannot fill out the proper paperwork and come up with a way to test that , he is either jerking us around, or unable to fill out simple forms.

If it is the first option, no real reason to feed in. If it is the second, then he should be looking into ways to improve his communication skills and writing ability, not bothering people with paranormal claims mangled through an online translator.
 
I would like to offer a trade of one magic pendant for some of these remarkable beans I happen to be selling...

A dime a dozen around here. Well not literally as a we use Kurush in this part of the world and a lot of our talismans are solid silver. They contain Qur'anic verses and will protect you from not only illness but all manner of nasty business.

Where is your evidence that the pendant does what you claim?

No-one else is going to do the work for you. You made the claim, you provide the evidence to support it.
 
I made a pendant with picture of Sai Baba [now deceased] to hang around neck of sick chicken....He not heal my sick chicken,chicken dead...Dead guys or Mythological entities do not heal anything....get used to it !:mad:

Is that so? Well the Qur'an warns of dire punishment for those who make use of talismans, as Allah is the only true source of power in the world (leads the way and sets the rules of the game). What is the source of your threat and why should it be taken more seriously?

There seems to have been a reaction caused by the loss of the old certainties and the economic dislocations of the new systems.
Plus the USSR wasn't exactly a woo free zone; Kirlian aura photography, Lysenckoism, Bourgeois pseudoscience.
