"Former pizza CEO and conservative radio host Herman Cain made it official Saturday, joining the small but growing roster of candidates seeking the Republican presidential nomination.
Cain, 65, who lives in suburban Atlanta, made his announcement at Atlanta’s Centennial Park, urging Americans frustrated by the country’s direction to read the Constitution.

“Keep reading,” he said. “Don’t stop at life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.” He vowed the GOP will retake the U.S. Senate and the presidency, just as it regained control of the House in 2010.
“We will take them back because you and I do not want this nation to become just another mediocre nation,” Cain said. He said the nation needs to refocus on free-market principles. Cain, a favorite among many tea party activists, boasts a long business resume but has never held elective office."

Would this diffuse the Race issue by having a Black candidate run against Obama?

No, absolutely not. It would be ignored when it does not push the chosen agenda.

Anyway, don't forget what the media said.

Powell "wasn't really black".

There never was a Race issue, you see. Only some liberal Tards pushing whatever emotional hot buttons on their propaganda machine that suited the situation of the moment.

Yup. Doofus did just fine with the free market while the rest of the country circled the toilet bowl. Who wouldn't want more of that.

Nope. It would be a disaster for the GOP, because so many of the southern Republicons are just in the party because they haven't gotten over desegregation.

Don't look for him to draw any great number of blacks to the party.

I'm quite certain that the progressives will find a way to gen up a hate-and-smear campaign for this guy.

I'm quite certain that JREF progs will happily join in.

The nature of that pack of lies, though, is uncertain at this time.

Is he...a religious wacko?

Is he....NOT REALLY BLACK?

What is the insidious evil that lurks within him?

How soon may we know, High Priest of the Progs?

We eagerly again Words to Repeat, and read Daily Kos and Media Matters hoping they will be there soon. Our small minds are blank slates hungry for more hate. We pray that you soon will tell us, O Wise Ones.

About the Satanic link between Cain and Exxon.

Yes, that is why we had all those stories about if Obama was Black enough...

Oh, and you make Sarah Palin cry.

Why bother? It is easier to just point out what a failure he is. Burger King is still struggling, Godfather's is not all that much of a such and he thinks that we need to eliminate all taxes on repatriated capital.

Let me explain why I harp on the repatriated capital bit. This is a special tax break given to those who move their factories off shore, sell the stuff they make to themselves, so that they make no taxable profit here, then bring the procedes from that paper transaction back here at far lower tax liability than had they made and sold the products here.

He wants to give the corporations and even bigger tax break for doing the one thing that has hurt our domestic manufacturing sector the most.

He wants us to drink ourselves sober.

Clueless twit, if he really believes that BS himself.

Yes, that is why we had all those stories about if Obama was Black enough....

Black enough? No, that's a simple matter. He's had a white hippie mom and a black communist dad.

So someone who is really black, has to be spun as ....

Not really black. Got it?

After seeing the GOP debate with Cain I can say I heard absolutely nothing compelling come from his mouth. If he won the nomination i'd shake my head at the GOP's continued embracing of clueless candidates.

Damn. I felt the same way about a nationally televised speech at 11 am EDT today.

And unluckily for you, a great many US voters may disagree with your assessment of Cain based on a single appearance. For my revulsion, I have lots of history to provide context.

Most of the people watching (which I would bet were a small percentage of the voting public) were probably Republicons to begin with. Those who were not watching probably have no clue who Cain is or think him a laughable drongo.

For my revulsion, I have lots of history to provide context.

I have no idea what that means.

I see that despite knowing nothing about him yourself, you're all set to defend him against whatever insults you can make up.

What problem do you have, eagerly anticipating the selected lies?

Only with such content, may vacuous bobbleheads begin squawking.

All at the same time, now, once the selection is made.

Receive the programmed content.

Ride the joyous hate wave.

Feel it.

Certainly, Cains' race will remain in doubt until his "long form" birth certificate is released, showing the respective races of his parents.

Are you really sure arguing with yourself about stuff you made up is an effective debate tactic? Have any evidence? Links? Facts?

It's clear the mans not suited to be President. If he makes any sort of advances it will certainly be due to the fact that he's the GOP's response to Obama. Look we got a black guy too!! Copy and past his words onto any other GOP candidate and he wouldn't raise a brow (or better yet would be laughed out of the race).
