One of the big "gotchas" that birthers seem to hope for -- and why the insist that they must know the doctor's name -- is that they expect that the Doctor will have had no memory of Obama's birth. The "gotcha" being that if the doctor can't remember it, it must not have happened.

Yet, they've produced no one who remembers Anne Dunham, pregnant, leaving the country or Anne Dunham with baby returning to the country. As I've pointed out numerous times, a teenage white women in 1960 returning to the US with a half-white baby on her passport or in her arms would have caused more than a little interest...yet, there isn't anyone remembering the whole traveling overseas while pregnant part of the story...just the story.

I'm just curious what kind of conspiracy that a "non-American" Obama is supposed to lead to. I've seen nothing expanding beyond the supposed "birther" argument other than the fact that they think Obama shouldn't be president because he's [so is claimed] "not an American"...

Has this ever been brought up from the birther camp? Just curious...

I don´t think they ever mentioned that... I guess it´s just that they can´t stand a black man being President.

Well, if he was not an American he, like, say, Ayn Rand (not a natural born American) could be expected to use all of his earthly powers to undermine America and its prosperity and also to undermine American self-confidnece and greatness by sneaking foriegn ideologies, like objectivism, into our thinking.

Hilited part also unlikely as you explain in the second paragraph about her returning with a mixed race baby. I doubt that many were delivered back then and such a delivery would be just as memorable.

Except, Hawaii may have been the one place in America where mixed-race children were not particularly unusual. In any event, far more common than a white teenager flying into New York after a visit to Kenya carrying a mixed-race baby either on or off her passport...

If the baby was on her passpport...btw...should would have had to have visited an American counsel in Niarobi or London? If not on the passport, wouldn't they have questioned her and made some kind of note about the baby?

Given that he has to remember the Time War, the destruction of Gallifrey and the burning of the Dalek fleet, I doubt he would have paid attention to a minor detail like that. Then again, he could always go back and check.

Dave

But she still does the "I take the President at his word" bit. You don't have to "take his word for it" you dumb bunny. THERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE IN FRONT OF YOU!!
Nice move. She woos moderates by distancing herself from birthers, but maintains her birther cred by pretending Obama's birth is still just a matter of opinion.

You know, maybe if he still used his "500 year journal," this would all be easier for him.

I have a question for JudeBrando and any other birther who cares to answer it (not that JudeBrando will; he has ignored every questioned I've asked him thus far). And I am almost certain someone else has pointed this out.

Obama's mother was an American citizen, therefore her children would be American citizens (jus sanguinus). How does this square with your delusions of bitherisms?

Please explain.

By the way, this is the last interaction I will have with this clown JudeBrando. You cannot reason with crazy, and I will file him away with every other loon CT'er.

The argument runs something like this...She was under the age of majority at the time, there's a loophole in citizenship law whereby an underage woman giving birth outside of the United States doesn't necessarilly transmit her own citizenship. Its been raised a number of times in this now very long thread.

But, what this explaination for why he wouldn't be a citizen doesn't do, is explain how she got him into the country, assuming that he was born overseas. She would have had to visit a U.S. counsel's office either in Kenya or London to put baby Obama on her passport...where this whole citizenship issue would have been raised...i.e. "I understand he's your child mam, but I can't put him on your passport because he's not a citizen..." or he was put on his father's passport...which would have gotten Obama Sr. (I believe) questioned at the border...i.e. he returns to the United States, where he was living on a student visa, with a baby on his passport and no one asked where the baby was from, issued it a visa, what have you. It just doesn't make any sense or have any plausability.

Birther arguments in a nutshell right there.

Howdy, y'all. Conspiracy theory: The puppet masters who control Obama, and made him president use the fact that Barack Obama is born outside of the U.S. to force people in positions of power to lie. In this way the puppet masters have their puppets by their balls or by their tits or whatever to call it which makes them easier to control and more obedient when told what to do.

I was about to say if they haven't explained that much, then there's not much room for imagination as to why the entire birther issue is coming up. Even though I was still young during Clinton's presidency I don't think I heard anything like what's coming out over Obama except for the Lewinsky scandal, which still hails in comparison as a real case to the allegations of Obama's citizenship.

@ Anders: claiming Obama's nothing more than a puppet is nothing new. According to you same lot, Bush was a puppet, Clinton was a puppet, Reagan was a puppet, Kennedy was a Puppet, and then so was everyone in between. Even under the worst of the lot there was no martial law here, and you completely lost me as to how it has anything to do with the birther mantra.

Well, not that she was underage (she wasn't, though just barely), just that the law at the time of Obama's birth said that the mother had to have lived in the US for so many years after the age of 14, and not enough time had passed given his mother's young age.

That's right...I always mix this up as it seems sort of convoluted to me...but willing to accept that it was the law at the time.

Hell, he might even allow the infusion of foreign foods, language, and culture into our homogeneous nation. Just thinking about such an impurification of our great nation makes me angry. Grr!

Ah, but if you really want to get a Manchurian candidate into a position of power, why use someone obvious like, say, the right's image of Obama...to them and CPers, an obvious stalking horse.

Why not use someone better? Say a Palin or a Trump? Someone who appears to be a defender of the status quo and traditional values, the better to undermine those values and thereby crush the American spirit?

Any conspiracy using Obama just proves how inept a conspiracy it can possibly be...

They probably wanted Obama because he can be liked by Muslims and by African nations and Asian nations too!
