Nah, that's mostly Hamas' and the PLO's fault.

You see, ever since 1967, living conditions in the territories had improved due to Israel. So pain and suffering of Palestinian children went down streadily.

But since Arafat started a terror war on Israel (1993, the Oslo "peace" accords, and in particular since 2001) and Hamas started controlling Gaza (2005), using Palestinian children as human shields and even as suicide bombers, naturally, this meant more Palestinian children suffered.

But the fault is the PLO's and Hamas, for declaring genocidal terroristic war, not Israel's.

I remember reading a similar story wrt Rachael Corrie. Supposedly, she was sitting in some guy's house and the kidnappers came for her but her host managed to convince them she was worth more as a propaganda piece than a hostage.

Interesting to see that the guy had been there since 2008 and arrived on a ship like the MM. He was no noob to the scene.

Usually, "peace activist" means "death to Israel" activist, such as in the case Rachel Corrie.

Apparently he was one of those folks too, based on his facebook page, full of cartoons about evil, hook-nosed Israelies killing babies, about how a "Domino effect" will soon destroy Israel, calls to join facegroup groups such as "petition against Israel" (with their clever logo, "**** Israel", a burning Israeli flag, etc.), another group calling for "standing with Palestine to final victory", claims of a Mossad conspiracy in Iraq, "Israeli apartheid", etc., etc., etc.

In short, this "peace" activist was in reality yet another standard-issue "destroy Israel" activist, like most of them are. Perhaps I should send the group that assassinated him a thank-you note.

One wonders how that "investigation" went where they "admitted" to getting free stuff from Zionist intelligence. How much torture would it take before you were willing to confess to Hamas you were working with Mossad?

Did you find the page where someone beaks off with "it's Israel's doing" ? Apparently, it was a Mossad operation designed to foment unease amongst the potential 'peace activists" planning on sailing this year's freedom flotilla.

I only made it through the first hundred or so images, it looks like all this guy was doing was blogging anti-Israel things. I couldn't find anything where he expresses his concerns that Hamas was about the worst thing to happen to the Palestinian people. After all, someone truly concerned with the welfare of the Palestinian people would be urging them to rise up against Hamas, end the state of belligerency, force Israel's hand under the Oslo accords, form their own country then everybody goes off and has a nice life.

That's what "peace" activists do isn't it ? Surely they don't choose sides in a violent conflict and distribute propaganda.

I've wondered about that for a long time, and have come to the conclusion that in this context (the Israeli/Arab conflict) that "peace activists" as a group don't want peace right away, it's an eventual goal they think will be achieved after Israel is destroyed.

Kinda like the slogan, "No peace without justice!' It sounds great and noble, but what does "justice" mean? It doesn't sound like they're willing to set their grievances aside and make peace, it sounds like they demand total capitulation on every demand then a full compensation (revenge?) for every perceived grievance. Far from being a path to peace it's an insurmountable obstacle.

I just wonder how many "peace activists" on an individual level work this logic through and realize this.

Pro-Hamas freedom flotilla, which makes about sense as having a weightwatcher's all-you-can-eat cookout.
