Parky likes to mine Haaretz, looking for things to be outraged about. But Haaretz only exists because of Israel's culture of self-criticism, free expression and individual responsibility. Things that are mostly absent in Palestinian and Arab culture, which is based on tribalism and honor/shame.

When Parky comes across an outrage in the Israeli press, which he uses to make Israel morally equivalent to the Palestinians, he is paradoxically affirming that Israel is better.

"look at this outrage I found in Israel's free press!"

Remember the GOLDSTONE REPORT?

The single most damning, and specious, allegation made by Richard Goldstone in the infamous report that bears his name was intentionality – the claim that during its military operation in Gaza between December 2008 and January 2009, known as Operation Cast Lead, the IDF purposely killed Palestinian civilians. It is precisely this claim which Goldstone, 18 months late, has now retracted.

Now would be a good time to rethink any post that you made based on this false report.

so, now that Goldstone has pulled back his condemnations of Israel, when will all of his attackers retract their offensive and bigoted attacks against HIM?

or do those who defy the glory & the will of Israel deserve God's wrath?

"Mode ve'ozev yerucham" they say in the Talmud. "He who admits he did wrong [modeh] and renounces his ill-gotten gains [ozev, literally "lets go" or "leaves"], we should be merciful towards".

"Merciful" does not mean automatic forgiveness for anything previously done: so I understand The Atlantic. But it means that one should now try to lenient towards him.

Two obvious predictions, for the million dollars.

1). The usual gang of idiots, who used Goldstone's report to smear Israel repeatedly, will be as silent as the grave about this, and not a word, not a whisper, of apology or even basic decent admitting of a mistake will be heard from them.

2). Somebody already claimed Goldstone was forced to do it due to the international "zionist" (that is, Jewish) conspiracy threatening him.

ok...lets run through this step by step.

you start with a lie. Goldstone has not admitted he did wrong. Goldstone has expressed regret that he did not have the information he currently has in order to draw conclusions. He didn't have the information in the first place because Israel refused to co-operate. Now that he has more complete information he is able to draw more accurate conclusions. Well done Israel for conducting suitable investigations and providing the results in a more detailed form that something along the lines of "ask no questions of us we did no wrong".....

as for your next points....you start of talking about "the usual gang of idiots" which is presumably people who disagree with you that you lack the courage to name. Or, more likely...if you don't name them its a lot easier for you to simply make up the positions you argue against.......You want an apology to Israel for Israel not co-operating with the inquiry? Don''t hold your breath. Maybe Israel should apologise for not co-operating eh?

can't figure out what your last point is.....It seems to be a conspiracy theory described to you by a voice in your head called "somebody".

just as YOU were silent in the face of vicious, hateful, bigoted, and outrageous attacks upon Goldstone, for daring to defy Israel.

Don't wet yourself with excitement yet.

Goldstone has said that some of his initial conclusions have changed due to further information being available. He is behaving as good investigators should (and do). He may have been able to draw these conclusions earlier Had Israel co-operated with the enquiry earlier.

Well done Israel for investigating and revealing the results of the investigation which allow more accurate conclusions to be drawn.

But hey....lets forget all that and the Goldstone bashers can start chanting some other stuff that is patently false...

may I suggest "goldstone admits he made it all up"
of "goldstone abandons report"
or "goldstone admits he is a self hating lying Jew"

that should be enough for you to go on :)

you forgot:

"Goldstone is a Judenrat"

"Goldstone is worse than a Nazi Kapo"

"Goldstone is worse than Hitler himself"

He says

“While the investigations published by the Israeli military and recognized in the UN committee’s report have established the validity of some incidents that we investigated in cases involving individual soldiers, they also indicate that civilians were not intentionally targeted as a matter of policy.”

He is differentiating between killing civilians as IDF policy and members of the IDF killing civilians intentionally. He is claiming there is evidence for the second, which is what I recall being stated here. Members of the IDF intentionally killed Palestinian civilians.

are we playing "lets forget about the elections" now?

I haven't. The elections prove that liberalism is pretty much a non-idea in Palestine and terrorist organizations that write Nazi textbooks enjoy widespread support.

Isn't Hamas playing exactly that game?
yes...If you are talking about future elections....but having been elected I'm sure they are not going to give anyone else a chance in the future of unelecting them.
