Fox News racism exposed

I don't know what y'all have against FOX when it has this kind of hard hitting journalism (link has video):

A study says it is actually healthy to stare at a woman's breasts.

Five-hundred men participated in the German study. Half were told to refrain from looking at breasts for five years, the other half were told to ogle them daily.

The study found the men who stared at breasts more often showed lower rates of heart problems, a lower resting heart rate and lower blood pressure.

The authors of the study recommend that men stare at breasts for 10 minutes a day.

I'll be back with further thoughts in ten minutes. ;)

I hate to see a Best-Of-Beck list that omits this gem:
Glenn Beck said:
I don't have a lot of African-American friends, and I think part of it is because I'm afraid that I would be in an open conversation, and I would say something that somebody would take wrong, and then it would be a nightmare.

Several more off-topic posts have been moved to Abandon All Hope. If you want to discuss the Mormon church/religion, please do so in a separate thread in an appropriate sub-forum.

...I'm okay with this.jpg

To expand on this: I have no problem with holding a media outlet partly responsible for someone's opinions, when
  • They pay that person to express those opinions,
  • They provide a forum for that person to express those options, and
  • They do not denounce or repudiate those opinions.

MSNBC no doubt has a disclaimer about Chris Matthews' opinions. They pay the guy, they give him a platform (at great expense), but they have nothing to do with his opinions? Sure they don't. Pull the other one. The same goes for Fox News.

I have become enlightened by the truth.

I now understand that regular guests and paid employees of cable news networks (other than janitors and night watchmen) speak for their respective employers and represent the views of their respective employers.
Ah, so you are just trolling. Guess I should have caught that earlier.

Those were "racist"? Christ almighty, that's not racism, it's just stupidity.

Context is needed to make a determination.

Here is the context, what's publicly known anyway.

You said, "I didn't see anything racist at all." Are you conceding it might be racist?

How about item #1 on that list.
Here is the context for that.

Remember, after an earthquake, time is of the essence. It's no good responding weeks or months later. Beck is comparing a decision to help in the aftermath of an earthquake to a decision on whether to prolong the war in Afghanistan, and other events that are not comparable. Even Bill O’Reilly and Laura Ingraham disagreed on that.

Of course it "might be racist". But no one has provided the content of what was favorited. It could be "I hate them *******" but it just as easily could be "I (heart) waffles."

Does not equal racism.
