I'm sorry, but are you looking for me to respond to that...

but I will say this: the legal status of the West Bank is "Occupied by Israel".
You respond? Don't expect you to.

So do you still think a land can be 'occupied' and 'disputed' at the same time? That an armistice line between 2 countries, 3 wars ago is transferrable to a 3rd party?

The first question pertains to the legal status...

Bigjelmepro, would you say your education consisted of "racist lies" as Parky alleges?

are suggesting I am posting someone else's thoughts?

I'm iz a smart guy, but I ain't no mind-reader.
Cute, further deflection noted. Until you provide your own opinions on the issue you brought up, that it means nothing beyond "I blame Israel for something further, just wanted to keep that clear."

You say he's staying on topic, but if you're adding nothing to the conversation, aren't you derailing?

former PM Ariel Sharon called the Israeli presense in the Palestinian territories, an "Occupation".

Israel was guilty of ethnic cleansing before 1949, after 1949, after 1967, and still today.
Oh look, it's THIS claim again.

and you probably believe that you are not bigoted...
and you probably believe that he is not bigoted...

You keep using that word, etc etc.

So do you still think a land can be 'occupied' and 'disputed' at the same time?

Yes.

The Palestinians do not have full control over the territory due to Israeli occupation and control over half the territory regarding internal affairs.

The Israelis dispute the occupation based on military necessity and a perceived loophole in that there was no party to whom governance of the territory would fall to if the Israelis pulled out.

from 1949-1967, Jordan occupied the West Bank.

now, Israel occupies the West Bank. I don't understand the confusion.

..or the fuss.

no.....are you?
You keep using that word, etc etc.

i use the word bigot because, in any discussion about lsrael/palestine, the bigots climb out of the wood-work.
israel can do no wrong, while the palestinians are called, "a gangster enclave that raises kids on Nazi propaganda."
in light of comments like that, the word 'bigot' seems sadly appropriate.

This is a map of Israel published by the United States government. It describes the West Bank as "Israeli occupied". I am an American, and that's good enough for me.

israel can do no wrong

No one has said that.

while the palestinians are called, "a gangster enclave that raises kids on Nazi propaganda."

Virus did not say Palestinians, he said Palestine.

Do you think when I say "America is a gangster enclave" I am talking about Americans, or perhaps the Government?

What makes more sense to you?

since palestine does not exist as a state, his meaning is clear.
splitting hairs semantically is a futile exercise.
the truth is that many on this forum view the palestinians as child killing animals.
a view such as that is clearly bigoted.
the state of israel supports and maintains an apartheid state and supports and encourages the appropriation of palistinian farms in the west bank, is criminally active in its treatment of gazans and is guilty of crimes and sins against humanity as a result of those actions.

it is clearly implied by the knee-jerk defense against any/all accusations of misdeeds by Israel. its become a sub-conscious instinct.

This is analogous to how posters complain about you not starting threads condemning Arabs or Muslims - it in no way invalidates your criticisms of Israel and just serves as a distraction.

No, it is not clear. Palestine is represented by both Hamas and the PLO/PA. Hamas are gangsters, and their territory is an enclave. The PLO/PA are essentially the lesser evil, but in the same boat.

splitting hairs semantically is a futile exercise.

And yet that is what has been done for the last few posts by you and Thunder.

the truth is that many on this forum view the palestinians as child killing animals.

I guess I could go on and on about how I view the participants in this struggle, but that's kind of a derail. Your time would be better spent quoting such comments, if they were made, and let them stand on their own.

those same posters also complain when I create a thread that is NOT about Israel. or if they don't complain, then they insert Israel into the discussion as a petty derail.

your unwillingness to face the truth about the rampant bigotry in this forum is duly noted.

I think the use of the word "bigoted" in is/pal discussion should be tantamount to a godwin from here on.
