Anyone know about the unreleased Midwest bigfoot video

A portion of her foreword in Bindernagel's new book.

The Discovery of the Sasquatch offers important insights not only about a potentially uncataloged species, but also about the humans who have thus far declined to investigate it. Bindernagel's scholarship unlocks a door to discovery that was carelessly shut long ago, but now stands wide open, waiting for us to walk through.

Scroll 3/4ths of the way down (Aug 31) in this blog for another fiesty visit with Matt Moneymaker...

Since that time, I and other people in the BFRO have gotten footage in other places. I was the very first person to get footage of a sasquatch with a surveillance camera. That happened in Kentucky in 2005. There are a few other clips from that location which will all be released, including the clip I obtained, in a documentary that is currently in production.

It's a Canadian-run operation now, and the documentary has been slow to get going, but it is definitely going now. The main man producing the documentary, Canadian real estate mogul Adrian Erickson, is not going to just sit on that footage any longer, thankfully...

The documentary is indeed in the works. They interviewed me for it, in Kentucky, two months ago. A Princeton Ph.D. ecologist (Dr. Leila Hadj-Chikh) was brought in there in late 2005, and has now lived at the property for nearly three years, trying to study this family group that came around periodically.

And also during this two year period, Adrian Erickson brought over some other people for a visit, including Dr. Jeff Meldrum, and Dr. John Bindernagel (Canadian). When Bindernagel was there, he got to see a sasquatch, for the very first time in his life.

Bindernagel is another person who, like me, would have a hard time defining some criteria that would dissuade him from knowing what he saw with his own eyes.

Obviously Bindernagel was keenly aware, beforehand, of the possibility that the whole thing might be a set up. Anyone involved in this biz is continually on guard for that, whenever walking into a new situation. But peanut gallery skeptics like Decius somehow think they are the only ones who consider a possibility like that …

Bindernagel is a scientist … So instead of being a smug skeptic, and summarily concluding that it must be a set-up, without even checking it out … Bindernagel went there and saw for himself, and was very glad he did.

That's one of the key differences between skeptics and scientists, it would appear. Perhaps I’m wrong but it seems that skeptics are only concerned with a rhetorical exercise, whereas scientists actually want to know the truth, so they will investigate things.

Speaking of grant money:

But then, in 1992, good luck struck. Byrne received from Boston's Academy of Applied Science a very generous five-year grant. It provided enough money to found the Bigfoot Research Project, and to hire two assistants to help him launch the most high-tech monster search the world has ever seen--a search that relies on police gear, wildlife research equipment, a Jeep, a video camera, and, above all, a phone line.

Byrne has a toll-free number, 1-800-BIGFOOT, and a dozen or so people call in every month to report sightings. The old hunter takes notes and then, if a sighting sounds promising, he rushes off to investigate-- to peruse the crushed twigs or watch witnesses imitate the horrible scream.

Every detail is logged onto computers. Eventually, if all goes as planned, Sasquatch's migrational patterns will become clear, and Byrne can jump into a helicopter. There are, on standby, two Bell 206 choppers equipped with the infared sensors used to track prison escapees. These would zero in on the beast, and Byrne would shoot a small dart. The dart would loop into the Sasquatch's flesh, extracting a small bit of tissue--enough to fill up, say, one tiny test tube--and ultimately the creature would lope off, unharmed.

And the cameras would whir: You know the tabloids would be there. Indeed, they can't wait.

Wow, they are really biting hard.
This will not end well for bigfootery...
:D That's likely an understatement. Don't they realize they could add 1,000 more 'scientists' (and every one with a 'sighting') to the cause and they'd still be jerkin the wrong Jive Sausage?! That pesky case of Still-no-bodyitis™ - heavy emphasis on Still - doesn't 'bother' ANY of them it seems.

I've posted this before, but you appear to be relatively new here.

The reason they remain hidden has to do with the fact that bigfoot beasts lay eggs and carry their young in pouches.

Why don't we see more them? Because they spend so much time squatting on their eggs. So, while they are tall, they spend lots of time squatting (hence the name saSQUATch.

Why are the footprints goofy? Fallen arches from squatting.

Why are they so big? They have dinosaur DNA. Some posit that dinosaurs were warm blooded. Clearly they laid eggs. We already have marsupials. Bigfoot as an egg-laying giant marsupial is not without precedent.

Why don't we ever catch one? Their very survival depends on hiding extremely well during their long periods of squatting. Fits right in with evolution, or don't you believe in that?

Why don't we ever see a baby bigfoot? Two words: Pouches.

Why the strange way of walking? Again, pouches, sometimes with their young in them.

Why do they look like they are wearing suits? Pouches.

Why do the mournful howls? Wouldn't you if you had to spend so much time squatting on fallen arches?

Why the foul smell? No time for bathing with all the squatting. Reproduction trumps cleanliness every time.

Why no hair samples? They collect fallen hair for warming the eggs and creating soft places in the pouches.

Moccam's Razor, baby!

The hair on the back of my neck is standing up...I get the distinct impression I should be out looking up in the hills here....there are a lot of things with pouches in this country..could some of them be Bigfeet ? I had one as a pet some time ago but never thought it could be one of THEM !It did have big feet now that I think of it...

This image appears to show Dr. Leila Hadj-Chikh PhD methodically searching for Bigfoot feces in Janice Carter Coy's (associated with Mary Green) "poop barn". I could be wrong but this does come from the trailer for the new Erickson Project thing. He bought up a bunch of property there because he apparently believes the Carter-Coy/Green stories.

Reference to this "poop barn" here.

Mainly what I saw on the farm were huge tracks in the red mud, scores of old and new twisted cedars, and a hayloft full of grizzly-sized or gorilla-sized scat. They call that the poop barn. It smells like it has long been abandoned to bigfoots. On my first trip, as I was packing up to leave, there was a freshly killed calf lying in the wood lot where I was camped, minus its liver. My stomach could almost feel how its abdomen was ripped open, the guts neatly scooped and set aside, the liver drawn quietly and bloodlessly out and carried away in a huge paw. Must have done it just before dawn, when I was snoring. Considering where they left it, this calf seemed meant for me. Not like a gift, more like a hint. Anyway I cut off the tail to tie extra-lucky steelhead flies. There may be a photo of that calf posted on Mary Green's website, (http://www.bigfootlady.net/) Also photos and passages from her new book that describes how the bigfoots live. Her book was just published last month so you might not have seen it yet.

Attached below Hadj-Chikh are David Mann photos of the poop barn and the feces. These appear to be raccoon poops which are fairly common in old barn lofts.

From the BFRO...

The current hair examiner for the BFRO is a young scientist (Ph.D. in Ecology from Princeton) hired by Adrian Erickson (British Columbia). The digital microscope equipment she is using was provided by Wally Hersom (California). Hersom and Erickson are currently the two major financiers of independent bigfoot research projects.

This is Dr. Leila Hadj-Chikh PhD. Why won't they mention her name?

Some of the cached pages from the previous BFF verson seem to have her name redacted. Why did they do this? Did she ask to have her name removed?...

Here.
We're not alone either, as every member of our party who witnessed and inspected these mounds in person- including ********, Wildlife Conservation Society agree with that assessment.

And here...
man, I'd love to talk to this woman named *******
I already emailed her but didn't get any response (yet)...

Even the young female sasquatch in the family group would get very angry and throw things if **** approached any closer than 30 feet or so.

***was hired by Erickson to study these animals at the location. She lived there for nearly three years and observed them several times,...

Adrian hired both ***** and Dennis, and he was happy that he did.

Why would you need to search for the feces of an 800 pound primate?

Because that massive primate recently cleaned out its own poop from the barn loft?

This photograph is a close up of some of the fecal matter in the loft. What is most interesting here is that the feces sometimes seems to be "cleaned out" and it is speculated that maybe the boards are picked up and this then allows the scat to fall to the barn floor below. The reason for such speculation is because of the many loose boards found in the areas where feces was deposited before. One time you can visit this loft and there are larger than human sized scat in abundance and the next time researcher's visit there are none to be found. This is a great puzzle to me because I can't imagine an ape ever cleaning up after himself. Therefore, this strenghtens the case that the bigfoot on this farm may be more than an ape, possibly even a relict hominid.

Possibly a hobo?

Is this the same Kentucky Bigfoot, that MABRC had a satellite live-feed to?

It showed a bunch of bushes and trees, and one time Bill Green even said he saw a white bigfoot walk across.

I agree with a racoon scat assessment.

(do not click links if you do not want to see animal poop)

Raccoon scat.

Chimp scat.

Gorilla scat.

Why doesn't this book have an entry on the tracks and scat identification of what should be one of North America's largest and most widely distributed mammals - the giant wooly Sasquatch?

There must be a wonderful metaphor in this but I just........can't.........quite.........come up with one.

News on The Erickson Project which has been discussed in this thread. Their website has been updated. There is more related discussion in the JREF Bigfoot DNA thread.

The goal of Adrian Erickson and his team is to have the collected evidence validated by science and the sasquatch officially recognized as a species or sub-species.

Subspecies? Do they mean a human subspecies?

For the past two years the Erickson Project has focused mainly on the collection of sasquatch DNA. The team was ultimately successful in obtaining several hair, saliva and blood samples from four diverse areas in North America. The mitochondrial and nuclear DNA of these samples are presently being painstakingly analyzed.

Mitochondrial DNA, which is passed on from the mother's side, consists of 16.500 base pairs. The nuclear DNA, which containts the chromosomes of the genome, consists of 3 billion base pairs.

To analyze this amount of information is a huge undertaking without a 'type' specimen on file to compare it to. The team is working in conjunction with Dr. Melba Ketchum of DNA Diagnostics in Texas, and hope to be successful in learning more about the genetics of these magnificent creatures.

With only a handful of short video clips ever previously recorded of a Sasquatch, the team focused on acquiring more and better video, especially close ups. After many months of frustrations the knowledge gained by the team's experiences enabled it to finally achieve success in capturing several video clips of different Sasquatch, including the first 'facial' footage ever recorded.

If they are aiming for human subspecies the costumes don't have to be very elaborate. Just a hairy wild human. This new hoax will bring Bigfoot back to "wild man".

Subspecies could mean that there are regional variations of the same creatures.

Sasquatch sasquatch
The giant 14', hairy, forest-dwelling, raper of 'Footers, and Pig tosser.

Sasquatch floridensis
The elusive smaller, smelly, hairy swamp-ape creature.

Sasquatch narcolepsis
The dapper, red-eyed, mobile home window peerer-inner, the 2AM road crosser, the dirt road on the way home in the car, from the bar at midnight, jumper acrosser.

Drew, those aren't subspecies: they're species. Nomenclature goes:

Genus species subspecies

Homo sapiens sapiens

Gigantopithecus sasquatchicus floridiensis

etc.
