Here you get to set out just how much a public employee can earn and what benefits they should get.

limiting govt. employee pay to $60,000 is outrageous. how are folks supposed to support a family?

So, the janitor at City Hall and the Registered Engineer at the Highway department should be paid the same as the trash collectors and School Superintendent.
Lefty should love this 'un...

Public employees should have the right to unionize. 6Ceryain types of public employees should not be allowed to strike. Beyond that, I'm stumped as to how to answer this poll.

If it's a worthless poll, then so too are all the squawking articles complaining about how much money federal employees make.

For crying out loud, it is worthless because it suggests that all public employees should earn the same wage.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs' salary is $1.

So, President Obama should be paid $2?

:boxedin:

Maybe thaiboxerhek should have said "compensation" but I think "paid" leads to that. I'll take Job's compensation over mine any day of the week.

Interesting you should bring up the payment of elected federal officials. I don't believe that they give a &*()'s behind if they get paid. How much do senate/HoR/presidential candidates spend to land a job that pay a pittance compared to campaign expenditures? They expect to collect big after they leave office.

'Public employee' isn't specific enough to answer the question.

Absolutely right. A very silly poll indeed.

That is sort of the point.

Yet people are so certain they are overpaid and have too many benefits.

Yep. I just got sick and tired of the ignorant talking heads going on about how government workers are "overpaid" without anyone ever specifying how.
