Atheists attacking Billy Ray Cyrus

Unfortunately, I fear the atheist community is far too late in this matter. If only we'd acted earlier and more strongly, we might have been able to prevent "Achy Breaky Heart."

Never again, my friends. Never again.

Hey, c'mon. That kind of talent just doesn't happen man! Only GOD brings such bountiful blessings!

Fun fact: if you wait until midnight and say the word "atheist" three times to Billy Ray Cyrus in an unlit bathroom, he'll lose his faith.

Don't tell my brain,
My itty-bitty brain.
I just don't think he'd understand.
Cuz if you tell my brain,
My itty-bitty brain,
I might grow up and be a man!

Wooooooo-hoooo!

So, he baptized his daughter to protect her from Satan, but then he sold her to Disney?
...

Personally, Satan seems a bit more trustworthy to me.

I get disturbed by motorway signs pointing to Birmingham or Kidderminster. I put this down to having been to Birmingham and Kidderminster. Never again, man. Never again.
Hey- I enjoyed my trip to Kidderminster. I got to see the stone staircase that my great-great-grandmother cracked her skull on, and the room in which she died.

Actually, the existence of the careers of both Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus are why I'm an atheist.
.
The lad was lamenting about how his family life has gone to hell since "Hannah Montana".
Gotta blame someone.
Prolly doesn't know any practising atheists, so they're (we're) fair game for blaming his failures as a husband and father.

A FaceBook friend has posited the question of what D&D spell we should be casting on him. I suggest that feeblemind would have no effect.

Wooooooo-hoooo!

Billy Ray Cyrus is the man responsible for that achy breaky song?

It's a wonder more people aren't attacking him!

On Hannah Montana:
"Oh, it's huge—it destroyed my family. I'll tell you right now—the damn show destroyed my family. And I sit there and go, 'Yeah, you know what? Some gave all.' It is my motto, and guess what? I have to eat that one. I some-gave-all'd it all right. I some-gave-all'd it while everybody else was going to the bank. It's all sad."

Do you wish Hannah Montana had never happened?

"I hate to say it, but yes, I do. Yeah. I'd take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic. Heck, yeah. I'd erase it all in a second if I could."

Sounds like the man resents his daughter's success, which enables her to have her own career, out from under his thumb.

I'm confused.

Who is attacking him? I'm not seeing it in that link, unless it's somewhere down in the comments.

"Power"?

ETA:

I've just noticed that I'm a moron. Via some inexplicable brain malfunction, I somehow interpreted Lisa's post as entirely serious. Bizarrely, I though she was lamenting Friend Atheist's blog post as attacking Cyrus.
Usually I'm the one that misses the sarcasm. :D
