Which lends some support to the notion that some people alive today are far stupider than some people who were alive then. Don't you agree? :D
 
The whole "looking up" thing is just so silly.

First, the corn gods have to be hiding undetected in the solar system, which is silly enough all by itself.

Then they would have to have their super advanced telescopes trained on the appropriate spot (do you realize how large the Earth is at this level of resolution?)

It makes no sense to use visible light at all for monitoring when they could easily monitor our numerous transmissions, they being so close and all.
