Planned Parenthood Aids Pimp's Underage Sex Ring

Who could have predicted this SHOCKING turn of events:

But Live Action also appears to have doctored the audio of its Richmond "sting," moving audio from one portion of their video to a different portion.

Take a look at the 7-minute, heavily edited video that Live Action promoted. Go to the portion of the video where the camera's timestamp reads "10:32:58" (frame number 21125). The "pimp" asks how they could "set up" an abortion for a "15 year old." From off-screen, the employee apparently asks, "Well, I mean the judicial bypass?" The employee apparently goes on to explain the process. (I say "apparently," because you can't actually see the employee talking; it's just a video of the wall.)

Now look at what Live Action says is the "full" 14-minute video of the Richmond encounter. Again, go to the portion of the video where the camera's timestamp reads "10:32:58" (frame number 21125). This time, the audio is different; the employee appears to be discussing the cost of birth control and STD screenings.

In the "full" video, the portion of the exchange about the judicial bypass process discussed above begins when the camera's timestamp reads "10:34:28" (frame number 22604) -- a minute-and-a-half later than in the heavily edited video.

The only explanation is that someone at Live Action moved around the audio in one of the versions of the video.

The videos are at the link.

It's almost like it's a trend.

I probably would have done the same thing as the woman in the video. In fact all caring people should.

I mean let's enter the Twilight Zone world of the people who think Planned Parenthood committed a crime here. They think the following should have happened:

  • A pimp brings an underage girl in
  • Pimp admits she is only part of a ring
  • This indicates there are other girls probably also in need of treatment
  • But worker doesn't care and yells at the pimp for being a moral monster
  • Worker informs pimp that she/he will be informing everyone of their crime
  • Pimp leaves with girl
  • The Pimp will not be bringing the other girls in now
  • Who the other girls are will remain a mystery as the Pimp moves operation

Please explain to me how this line of action solves anything except satisfy an immediate need for taking a moral high ground? Now none of the other girls will get treated.

True, but those spouting off about PP likely don't know that, and it doesn't let the local police off the hook. Perhaps the police did look into it, but to even acknowledge that would be to admit that PP did the right thing by notifying the police.

Whoever at PP reported this to the FBI, did the right thing.

The PP employee did not do the right thing, thus she was fired.

The people who made this video merely lied to PP and that ain't a crime.

you should be applauding these undercover investigations, since they root out criminal acts

strange...do you actually think the PP employee who was fired...shouldn't have been?

She seemed very nonchalant about the whole thing...as if she heard it and covered for it hundreds of times.

More on the awful human being behind these absurd, vicious videos:

Again, sorry I can't include excerpts. The blog won't let me highlight passages to copy/paste.

It occurs to me that this trend of young, ******* right wingers maliciously editing videos to smear low-level employees is the Bizzaro version of Michael Moore.

Moore has obvious faults, but his targets were always wealthy, powerful people. There's something sickening about going to such extreme lengths just to ruin the career of people trying to do their job. Pathetic.

Yes. Actually I think the employee did the best thing they could given the circumstances.

I mean even if you plan to report the Pimp (which apparently did happen) you don't tell the Pimp that and you do it after they are gone. Your concern is the girls. Frightening him off immediately won't accomplish anything.

The firing was a stupid PR move.

I am baffled as to what she was supposed to do. Scream, "CITIZEN'S ARREST!!," jump across the counter and hog tie the supposed pimp?

Yes, because that's exactly what is happening.

Brave and intrepid investigators are rooting out random evil-doers with no intention to smear the organizations with whom they happen to be employed, and with whom the investigators happen to ideologically oppose.

Why, one only need look at your thread title for an example of the noble intentions at work here.

So she was just engaging in her own counter-sting operation...I see...I see.

You've decided to throw in with the lizard-brains. Dishonest smear merchants that vent their perverse ideology by attacking people who make very little money and still work incredibly stressful jobs just to help others.

This entire "sting" is a set of lies, malicious edits, and a general aimless fury at a world that's leaving their barbarism behind. They're too stupid to deal with leaders, so they go for the lowest level they can find.

Now you're defending them. Classy.

I think it's clear that what she did was incorrect, though. My thought is that this is one of those situations completely outside the norm where the person says 'hold on... let me get my manager'

As suggested in an earlier post, it looks like a larger project where the majority of the staff did what you'd expect, and this one person displayed bad judgement.

I don't know enough about this person's professional qualifications, either. It's possible that her professional standards would describe what to do in these situations. Specifically, if she was a social worker here in BC, she would technically be an officer and not permitted to ignore a crime, and be required to make arrangements for arrest. That would probably mean at least calling security.

Yes, it did. But when did it happen? Did it happen immediately after their visit, as it should have? Or did it only happen after PP figured out they were probably being stung again?

The firing was a stupid PR move.

Unless they know something you don't know.

Planned Parenthood talked to the FBI at least on January 18th. Whether that was about a specific incident or the group or whether all were included isn't known, but they were in front of the "sting.'

My thought was that we don't know enough, but if the office had security, they could have been summoned to detain these visitors until the situation is clarified.

It would be quite justifiable since the guy seems to have admitted he's comitting a felony or two that in particular appear harmful to children.

I'm thinking it's only lucky that this guy didn't get turned over to security who might have wanted to 'soften him up' before the police arrived.

Maybe I got the wrong impression, but from listening to the responses of the PP employee, it seemed as though she'd heard this before and knew exactly how to cover it up.

Doesn't that bother anyone?

Not the abortion issue...I am pro-choice after all.

But the underage prostitution angle of this which she appeared to be covering up as though it was routine practice at PP when faced with these situations.

See, I'm guessing they suspected a "sting" was taking place and so to cover their youknowwhats, they contacted the FBI.

now of course that's just my impression and I have no way of knowing.

Whether that was about a specific incident or the group or whether all were included isn't known, but they were in front of the "sting.'

They were in front of the public release of the videos. So they may have been several days behind the filming. Simple communications delays can account for corporate headquarters not acting for a few days, but if the individual offices didn't act faster than that (and we don't know yet if they did or didn't), that's a problem.

I think the same is true of medical professionals.

As it happens, it isn't. (At least not in any jurisdiction of which I'm aware.) Speaking for BC, there is a mandatory obligation for physicians to report knowledge of statutory rape and also crimes of violence such as spousal assault. Failure to do so would risk loss of medical license.

The model is to move the victim into protection immediately.

Some day I want somebody to pull a CCW and blow one of these entrapping bastards into oblivion.

Because murder is the appropriate response? This must be part of that whole New ToneTM Obama called for.

I wonder if you think murder would be the appropriate response if the person in question was an actual pimp.

I think his point is that while they should be encouraged to report it, their primary duty is to provide medical care to people in need.

The law is pretty clear about this, actually. Again: I'm willing to be corrected, but I'm unaware of any region in North America where an MD is permitted to fail to report. Other professions with this obligation here in BC are: teachers, social workers (on or off duty), police officers (on or off duty), registered nurses, and there are probably others that I'm unaware of.

Again: the principle is that the universality of the law relieves the professional from having to weigh factors that are usually entirely outside their experience.
