A worrying trend in the "Truther" movement

It's satire of the OP. Which isn't to say that it also doesn't reflect reality.

Well, isn't just too bad that you all weren't piping up back in 2002 then.

What's that? Not a single example of a "debunker" asserting that Iraq was involved in 9/11? Well, I'm SHOCKED, I tell ya! SHOCKED!

Most of the conspiracies about the Jews/Israelis being behind 9/11 seem to have started in the Mideast and Muslim countries days after the attack.

(Daniel) Pearl wrote in a September 20 e-mail. “I'm writing a story about how everybody here thinks the Jews did it. Bound to piss everybody off, but I think people should know what people in other parts of the world REALLY think, and why. Right?”

We are mostly creatures of the Internet Forum culture. No such thin back in 2002. ;)

Actually, I've been a member of at least 3 different forums since the late nineties, I'm positive others were posting on message boards long before I was. :)

Just checked my membership date at one of them:

Yes - I was referring to the "boom" or rapid expansion of the forum culture - should have made it clearer.

The "boom" in 9/11 interest seems to date from about 2006 in my experience. Was there much doing before then?

It's a bit hard to separate all the developments - for example broadband which makes this sort of forum workable. Plus memory may be faulty. :o

You will find that very few people in Germany and virtually no one outside Germany actually know the story. It is known in Germany because the Hoax was exposed by German media. But not one english language paper carried the story.

It was a perfect piece of Illuminati news management. As soon as the story came out in germany, an impeccable left wing Brazilian student posted something about his lecturer saying they had recycled 1991 gulf war footage. This completely unsourced rumour was then loudly pushed around the internet, while the true German story was barely heard at all. Reuters then issued a holy-than-thou, wounded-innocence rebuttal of the claim that they had used archival 1991 material - and completely ignored the German story.

If I was to start a thread on it, no matter how clearly I delineated it from the false 1991 archival footage claim - someone would pop up in 5 minutes and say "oh that has been debunked" and link to a snopes etc webpage on the 1991 story.

A textbook case of Illumati Information Control, exploiting their leverage on both sides of the political divide.

Am I the only person who hasn't the faintest idea what this is about?

Wasn't it 10,000? Based on the rather illogical position that there were estimated to be about 10,000 Jews who worked in the area, and there was no evidence that any Jews had been killed, ergo clearly no Jews were actually in the area. Never mind that the State Department or whoever issued the victim lists didn't actually release religious or ethnic information for the victims. I think the Truther sleuth just took the victim list and did a search for all instances of "stein".

The figure that I have seen persistently used is 4,000. Either 4,000 Jewish employees at the WTC phoned in sick on 9/11, or 4,000 Israeli citizens in the vicinity of the WTC received prior warning about the attack, depending on which wacko conspiracy site you are reading.

There is also a story that two employees at a company in Israel (forget the name) received text messages on 9/11 with warnings about the attacks.

"Worrying trend". What evidence do you have of this new "trend"?

Although new to this forum, I have been contributing to forums over the years, and have discussed 9/11 conspiracy theories from time to time. The impression I have is that the belief in Israeli involvement has grown in strength in recent years.

In terms of "evidence", all I can offer is my own impression, which I have given here as a point of debate. I had thought was the point of the forum.

More like a concern troll trying to resurrect the "truthers are anti-semites!" meme.

I am concerned but I am not a troll. In terms of "truthers" beign anti-semitic, not all are by any means, but I certainly detect a strong strand of anti-semitism in the "Israeli false flag operation" school of 9/11 conspiracy theory. Or would you not agree?

Got any charts or data on this new trend you've discovered? We know that Mossad was at least tracking some of the hijackers just prior to 9/11, but I'm not aware of any increasing trend in accepting this fact.

Got any charts or data on your "knowledge" that Mossad was tracking some of the hijackers?

(Oh and by the way, I assume from this that you accept that the planes were hijacked and flown into the WTC and Pentagon?)

We are mostly creatures of the Internet Forum culture. No such thing back in 2002. ;)

Internet forums have been around since the 90s at least. Originally they were on Usenet but have largely migrated to web-based format in the noughties.

I've been contributing to Internet forums since I first got an Internet connection in 1999.

No, you're wrong. The world is black and white. And, as we have seen here on JREF, any discussion on 9/11 is necessarily black and white. Extreme black or white. There is no grey area. Understand? You're either with us or against us. Okay? And it is clear you're against us. It is clear you are against the common good. It is clear that anyone who supports the official government conspiracy theory also supports the illegal wars that followed, supports aggression and violence against civilians, supports torture. That is what you are. You can't have one without the other. And the leaders of your so-called 9/11 OCT/"debunker" movement are overwhelmingly sociopathic. We have the proof.

I support the "official" version of 9/11 (with some caveats) but opposed the war in Iraq. Go figure.

The evidence of foreknowledge is the Israeli Art Students
http://en.metapedia.org/wiki/Israeli_Art_Students

and the Dancing Israelis.
http://en.metapedia.org/wiki/Dancing_Israelis_on_9/11

Fascinating. "Metapedia"? This is presumably where people go when they can't put stuff on Wikipedia because its truthfulness is challenged.

I just went to the Metapedia home page, and was greeted with a link to a nice video about the "Holohoax". "Dr. William Luther Pierce deconstructs the covert supremacist and chauvinist purpose behind the "Holocaust" dialectic". Fascinating.

However, I digress. I have not previously looked at the case of the "Israeli art students". However, in the case of the "Dancing Israelis", my extensive investigations have indicated that a whole tissue of myths and suppositions have been built around a very nebulous base.

What do we actually know? The woman "Maria" saw these men in the parking lot of her NJ apartment, filming the attacks (as were hundreds of people all over New York). She claimed they seemed to be happy. This is of course an entirely subjective view, and there are no other eye-witness accounts to corroborate it. They were later arrested, but the FBI could find no evidence whatever that they had any involvement in, or foreknowledge of, 9/11. There is also no evidence whatever that they were Mossad agents.

Then of course we get into further conspiracy theories about cover-ups, that they were released by Zionist plants in the justice system.

Yes technology moves at a rapid pace and continues to do so. :)

I'm waiting for the day when it's feasible to convert speech into to text, my keyboard aptitude is pitiful. :(
