It is slightly disheartening, however.

It's not that I think it's different than others, it's just that the Government constantly claims to always fight for democracy and freedom in all countries, and it's not happening in Egypt. It's not really surprising.

Yeah, I know, but it's still sad. I suppose he tries to rationalize it in his own mind. He did not actually say Mubarak isn't a dictator, he said he would not refer to him as a dictator. You can choose not to call a turd a turd, but it's still a turd.

I just get tired of the US supporting guys like Mubarak because "the opposition would be worse." and "he's our friend". It just seems like at some point these guys all get overthrown and we're stuck with someone worse and a country full of people who hate the USA because we supported the last guy.

I hold no love for Mubarak,but an Iranian style government in Egypt would be bad,bad,news.
Fact is, nobody knows what will happen if Mubarak goes down.
