Merged Discussion of the moon landing "hoax"

I have no desire to disprove it. It suits our agenda that everyone keeps believing in it.

I simply say as a fact that the Moon landing is rather poorly executed Hoax.

Carri on.

You have no evidence it was hoaxed yet you declare it was hoaxed.

I have yet to see a hoax believer who can differentiate between speculation and evidence. -Me

LOL - You might need to establish first that we even care about your opinion before pontificating

And we simply say that your opinion is supremely irrelevant. Lots of people believe crazy or stupid things. The Apollo landings are an INCONTROVERTIBLE fact, and that's not just my opinion.

Mmmmm and I can think of some people who don't know the difference between evidence and reality.

Do you? If so then you can explain it to the rest of us.

ETA: waiting with baited breath, something smells fishy around here.

I have yet to see a hoax believer who can differentiate between speculation just simply making things up and evidence. -Me

Fixed that for you.

It's a shame, really, that some people derive more fulfillment in wishing that such an incredible accomplishment didn't happen than marveling that grubby little humans like us could actually touch this other world, explore it and overhaul our understanding of the history it shares with our own.

It's also a shame that these people spend more energy sticking their fingers in their ears and echoing somebody else's litany of mistakes than they do actually trying to learn something about the subject.

I don't understand it. But then, I'm an engineer, not a psychologist.

How we getting on with someone explaining how those radio transmissions were faked?

When the hoaxers finally present their thesis on how the radio transmissions were faked, I'm sure it will take into account the narrow beamwidths (0.35o and 0.25o) and the angular accuracies (both 0.025o) of the 26 and 64 meter dish antennae used by the MSFN during the lunar landings. I mean, to come up with a scenario where fake transmissions are sent from outside the beams would just be stupid.

And I'm sure they're also take into account the disparity of the Doppler shift of telemetry data when measured by two different antennae.

And I'm sure they will have an explanation how replies to requests for ranging transmissions can be sent before they are even requested.

Matt, you should know better than to post facts in this thread. Conspiracists don't do facts.

Given both had a huge number of Australians working at them....makes the claim funnier

You might like the highly ficitional version of events shown in the film "The Dish"

I guess the best people to explain that are the people at Parkes itself.

Its not my job to pull their chestnuts out of the fire for them.

[I have no idea what that last expression means, but I always like the sound of it]

I have coresponded with several of them personally, and I know someone that has spoken with them in person. Those that worked at Parkes and Honeysuckle are fully convinced that those they talked to and recieved signals from were on the moon.

Then they are either knaves or fools or possibly both.
