As I pointed out before there is no BC for William Jefferson Clinton or Gerald Rudolph Ford.

I don't remember if it was this thread or another (and it's too long to search for) where we posted all the Presidents, VP and major candidates who have the same citizenship qualifications (at least one parent not a US citizen) and some with less (born outside the US) as the current President. What makes Barack Obama different from all these others?

His skin color is what makes him different. That is all.

Cue right-wingers crying foul for being found out...

Until you show the same concern for everyone, you´re either hardcore right-wing extremist out to sabotage and undermine the democratic process, or a racist who can´t stand having a black man as president.
false dichotomy. It could be both ;)

A computer printout cannot be verified.

The LONG form has the name of the doctor, signatures, etc. and it CAN be verified.

Produce a one page document and the game is over.

No ifs, ands, or buts.

Idiot. The state issued document floating around on the web for all to see is the very definition of "verified"...it is not Obama that "verifies" the document, it is the STATE OF HAWAII, and it says that it has verified the birth certificate. Legally, factually, intellectually, practically that is all that matters. Obama can or can not "show" whatever document he may have...it doesn't matter. You can bring to bare any document you can find out there. It doesn't matter. All that matters is whether and if the State of Hawaii says there is a legal birth certificate, and they have.

You are a sad little man/woman. Go away.

Didn't the lemmings already donate the money to cover the fine some time ago?
They did. But the donation link is still up on here website a while ago.

Not to mention Orly has plenty of money in her own right (and her husband, whom some sources are suggesting is bankrolling her jihad against Obama).

Yes and those lemmings could only foot $2000 of her $20 K fine, and she paid it off herself.

SHE's freaking rich. Why she needed her minions to pay HER freaking fine is beyond me. Her husband owns a freaking TESLA roadster, and owns a software company worth millions.

The Supremes denied her appeal without comment?

Man, she got off easy. And we got gipped...I want to read another judge blistering her innovative understanding of the Constitution, dammit!

You've answered your own question. You don't become or stay rich by paying for things that you can get with Other People's Money.

Unfortunately, my minions include an MBA, and he knows just this as well as I do, which limits the amount that he's willing to contribute to my exorbitant and luxurious lifestyle.

I was told over the weekend that while Obama may be eligible according to the constitution, old English common law actually trumps the constitution and according to that he is actually an English citizen

Wow. Did you tell this person that the United States has been independent from England for over 200 years?

Did we lose a war? That's not America! That's not even Mexico! [/HomerSimpson]

They've got that exactly backward. Common law fills the gaps where the Constitution and enacted laws (both federal and state) don't exist or where gaps exist. When it comes to citizenship, its definition, etc. the Constitution and federal law completely cover the field...there is no real common law applicable to this issue...unlike, say, obscure property rights, etc.

PLEASE understand, the Constitution, Federal and state law ALWAYS trumps common law.

ETA: what is true is that many enacted law -- e.g. in the area of property, torts, contracts, etc. -- reflect common law approaches to an issue or encorporate common law practices, but as said above, enacted law always trumps common law, and the Constitution (and its protections and prohibitions) essentially always trumps enacted law.

I hope your friend isn't trying to make a case for him/herself, say, on taxes and why they aren't paying them, based on some obscure common law doctrine, they'll be going to jaiil.

IIRC and correct me if i'm wrong, under UK law he would have had to register by a ceratin age to retain his UK citizenship (which he was eligible for due to his father being a citizen). Many people have dual citizenship, I grew up with a guy who had UK and US citizenship and worked with a woman who had Canadien and US citizenship.
