Hello!

HELLO!!

Anybody there?

Knock twice for yes, and once for no!

Oh - and three times if you know where and how (and possibly when) Simon the Zealot died...
Does anybody even have proof the Simon Zealot is really truly dead? Somewhere I read that if his tomb hasn't been found in 2000 years, that's proof of his resurrection.

You may be on to something. Suppose that all the various accounts of his death were in fact accurate, and that he resurrected each time...

Well,, this looks to me like a thing or things useful in forming an opinion. Simon still lives!

But wait . . . didn't the NT writers say he was dead (a few times)?

What can this mean???

So absent any evidence for a god entity we can simply dismiss the idea that the bible is accurate. If as Doc says if there is a god then miracles are possible we'll need to see proof of either miracles or a god. Got that Doc? We're waiting.

Why don't you and others need to see proof of life from non-life to believe it?

We cannot believe that the gospelers wrote the truth. We need some evidence that they did so which up to now is lacking.
DOC, if I told you I have the blueprints for a time machine, would you accept my claim without seeing the blueprints and showing them to an engineer for appraisal?

If some of your friends were willing to die for your claim, and some those friends also wrote the greatest selling book in history about your machine, and 2000 years from now there was 2 billion people who were still involved with the machine, I would consider there might be something to it.

Pretty much says it all, doesn't it DOC?

ETA: in any case, we know that there is currently life, and the evidence strongly suggests that there was a time when the universe was not capable of supporting life. Therefore at some point life must have come from non-life.

Soo... if people are willing to die for a thing, wrote about the thing, it became the best selling book in the world about the thing, and thousands of years later billions of people knew about the thing, that's proof enough for you that that thing was real?

Doc. Let's say I got a concrete bunker with a locked door. No windows, no way in or out other than that door. In that bunker is a table. Let's say I leave the table with nothing on it. Then I lock the door, and then I spend a few thousand years telling people that there's an apple on the table in the bunker. Let's say they all believe me without question. Now, I return to the bunker and open the door. Will I find an apple on the table?
