Hi, Fulcanelli, it has something to do with how trigonometry affects us in everyday life, the last of the 3 pictures could give you some idea.

BTW What do you make of the video of Giobbi bragging on TV about their investigative methods? Any comment?

Trigonometry is a complex proposition for people who mostly talk about their pet rabbits. You could lead into it gently with a discussion of Pythagoras' Theorem, perhaps?

Curatolo specified no such thing. He never stated he continuously watched them. He stated he saw them, then went back to reading his magazine. He looked up an hour or so later and saw them again. He did not watch them in between..ergo, they could have left for a period of time and returned later (as was concluded by Judge Micheli). The next time he looked they were not there.

They must give a truthfull account. Although, it must be remembered most of them have already testified in the main trial and that testimony will be admissible in the calunnia trial.

Curatolo was bribed, and since he isn't mentally a full sixpack I can see him folding under rigorous questioning.

I'm very sorry for your loss - that sounds like an appalling thing to have happened in front of children. That is sincerely meant.

Googling the case shows that Junta was convicted of involuntary manslaughter rather than murder and, in this case, sexually aggravated murder. Respectfully and aware of your loss, I'm afraid the Junta case is not relevant to the sentencing in the Perugia case.

But is this the inside shutters, or the outside shutters? Filomena indeed stated that she wasn't certain whether she'd closed the 'inside' shutters or not. She also stated she wasn't certain if she 'fastened' the outside shutters or simply pulled them closed tight (locked will often translate as closed when using translation engines and that can cause confusion).

Whatever, Filkmena was adamant she had closed the shutters before she left when giving her testimony. Since the defence did not raise during cross examination any contradiction between that and her earlier statements, we can only conclude there was no contradiction.

I checked in the appeals. Looks like they did catch it. They point out that Massei used a cell tower that covers Raffaele's to conclude Amanda wasn't there. What do you think about it?

Looks like she wasn't very certain of anything. But it was about outside shutters.

He didn't have a watch when asked to show one? You are aware he was asked to show the court his watch well over a year after the night of the crime? Anything may have happened to it in the course of a year. And you are also aware that he testified that he also looked at the clock that is present at the basketball court?

I already said: I think it's a very bad mistake in the judge's summary. I would jump on it from a height. He needs to correct.
