after 10 years of an extensive search by the most powerful nation on earth, looking for the most wanted man on earth, i think it's pretty likely that obl is dead.
i am certainly not alone in my thinking.
the videos of him are widely accepted as fakes, and the audio quality on the tapes is so poor, t hat they do nothing to counter my beliefs.

what say you?

The videos are thought of as fake pretty much only by twoofers and there are lots of places to hide in Afghanistan/Pakistan.

Please come back when you have some actual evidence.

I think he's alive. We have experts who know his voice from known videos. He keeps releasing audio tapes and they are authenticated.

I thought you said previously that you had turned your back on 9/11 twooferism?

Dtugg is right, only the freak brigade thinks the videos are faked. And at best they represent only a few percent of the population. Hardly what anyone would call "widely accepted".

Well if he had died, say in a rockslide or something, I doubt that Al Qaeda would just announce it. They recognize him as a great propaganda piece. However when they do announce it they will probably scream it from the hills and make sure their account has him shooting down a Stealth Bomber with an AK-47 moments before a nuclear weapon vaporized him.

Al Qaeda hasn't hid the deaths of any of their leaders yet, why would they hide OBL's? He'd be hailed as a martyr.

Simply asserting that something is "widely accepted" carries no weight. Those are "weasel words." They wouldn't be allowed in a Wikipedia article, for example.

I would expect the audio quality to be poor, as the tapes are not made in state-of-the-art recording studios by professionals, but in safe houses or the like, by amateurs with whatever equipment is available.

The fact that his whereabouts isn't known does not mean he is dead.

Radovan Karadzic was wanted for over ten years and was eventually tracked down practicing homeopathy in downtown Belgrade.

Ratko Mladic is another one still on the run and not thought to be dead.

Maybe the Twitter generation can't get over the fact he hasn't tweeted from the Afghan-Pakistan border "LOL@US!" recently.

Oh! And those Benazir Bhutto videos are clearly just a slip of the tongue. She is talking about Daniel Pearl who was murdered. I'm pretty sure that's what your videos will show although I'm not going to waste any time verifying that.

Funny thing, the Islamic world seem happy to accept them as genuine. Who thinks they are fakes, other then a bunch of people that also think the US commited 9/11?

Bikderdruid, do you have a non-truther, non-Jew baiting source for your allegations?

was Benazir Bhutto jew baiting or a truther?

Given the context of the conversation it is clear she wasn't talking about Osama. As angrysoba said, she was probably talking about Daniel Pearl, since Omar Sheikh was convicted of murdering him. Why she said Osama bin Laden instead, I dunno, but people misspeak all the time.

i dont say i believe her, nor do i know if she misspoke or really believed what she said.
but she is not a Jew Baiter nor a truther afaik.

But if she misspoke then her lack of truther or Jew-baiting would be moot.

Does it make any difference if he is dead or just difficult to find?

Bin Laden's value seems to be more as a propaganda tool than as a military leader.
