Airport security - the right way?

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/top/all/7308912.html

Why should ANY government employee be allowed to skip a scan if a scan is as safe as we are being told, not an invasion of rights, and doesn't take all that much time (it doesn't)?

Sure, let them move to the front of the line to save them delay, but scan them.

The American people should insist on this. They (or the staff accompanying them) could be just as crazy as anyone else (some of them are).

If they choose not to be scanned, then they should also be subject to the same "pat down" and "groping" that the rest of us will be. No exceptions.

But of course, none of them will choose to not be scanned, will they, since the government has assured us this is safe and not an invasion of one's person, privacy or Constitutional rights.

So this really shouldn't be an inconvenience to them.

And there is no chance that any pictures of that person will become public ... they are only temporary images. Right?

So make them be scanned. FOR OUR SAFETY.

For once, I totally agree with you BAC!!

Okay! You made your point. However, what's next? Body scanners in automobiles? Terrorism checkpoints being masqueraded as DUI checkpoints? Internet camera scans where you will be required, if you have internet access, to scan yourself each time you access the internet? All of this in the name of thwarting terrorism and "feeling safe"?

:eye-poppi Well you certainly have a wild imagination! You've gone from non-invasive x-rays in airports to retina scans before you make a google search. If you're for real, the CT/NWO crowd would bow down to your awesomeness. :D

"What's next," indeed!

Well, the same logic DOES apply.

This is the grown-up section.

Thataway? It's what you wish. Grown-up section - mind controlled section?

This happens one year ago. For suicider bombers, there is no difference to put the explosive in underwear or in his bottom. Why TSA never talk about it? It may prove what they interested in is just to intimidate public. The pat down or full body scanner can't prevent bombing if the explosives is hidden in bottom.

Terrorist hid explosives in his bottom

Suicide bomber Abdullah Hassan Tali al-Asiri attempted to kill a Saudi prince by detonating explosives hidden in his bottom.

BST 21 Sep 2009
Al-Asiri, 23, managed to blow himself up in the attack in Jeddah, but his target, Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef, escaped with minor injuries.

Security experts said they have not come across a bomber who has concealed explosives in this way.

"We've never heard of anything quite like this before," a source told The Sun.

Prince Nayef is the head of the security service in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Asiri, who was on a local "Most Wanted" list, arranged a meeting with him after insisting he had turned his back on terrorism.

By hiding the explosives in his bottom he managed to pass security checks before entering the prince's office.

It is believed they were detonated electronically.

Mike Yardley, a weapons expert and former soldier, said: "Hiding it in a body cavity was obviously an attempt to defeat scanners and detectors.

No it can't.

TSA screening seems to lack credibility and effectiveness, while both are achievable without undue difficulty.

Is it possible this is yet just another example of something the government can't do well? EG you are getting US Post Office quality work and management methods.
