Beyond Apollo conspiracies

It is not my intention to prove the Apollo landings a Hoax. In any one really professes to believe that Stanley Kubrick could have fluked the exact appearance of the lunar surface in the film 2001 before the Apollo 11 mission - that is entirely their right in a democracy.

What I want to ask is has any secret information been coded into the Apollo Hoaxes as a mechanism of spreading knowledge in a "hidden in plain sight" manner?

Take for example, Apollo 13.
An explosion in the oxygen tank puts the mission on the brink of catastrophe but, through all-American quick thinking brilliance, the crew use the lunar module as a "life boat" and manage to return safely to earth.

As this is complete fiction, is there any esoteric knowledge concealed within?

Ooh, goody, a hoax thread for my birthday!

No, you don't get to just breeze straight past substantiating an extraordinary claim and instead ask us to accept it uncritically. It's our democratic right to ask for evidence to back up this assertion. Got any screen grabs from 2001 and the Apollo footage that you feel proves this? Because to anything more than a casual glance they don't look alike except in the most basic way. You've made the claim, you can back it up. It'll have to be a tad more detailed than "Hey, they've both got grey rocks and black sky".

What I want to ask is has any secret information been coded into the Apollo Hoaxes as a mechanism of spreading knowledge in a "hidden in plain sight" manner?

No, obviously. Though that hasn't stopped many hoax claimants from asserting otherwise, of course. Come on, what's the big reveal you've got poised and waiting for after some schmuck like me responds to your rhetorical question?

Take for example, Apollo 13.
An explosion in the oxygen tank puts the mission on the brink of catastrophe but, through all-American quick thinking brilliance, the crew use the lunar module as a "life boat" and manage to return safely to earth.

Yep. A lot of hard work, the ingenuity of the best and brightest minds available, and a little dash of luck. An amazing achievement.

Got proof otherwise? Unsubstantiated incredulity and a few bucks will buy you a cup of coffee.

As this is complete fiction, is there any esoteric knowledge concealed within?

Again, where's your proof that it is fiction? Without proving that first, your question is moot.

One has to wonder if the OP has ever watched 2001, because from his post I suspect not. The lunar surface depicted in 2001 is nothing like that in the Apollo footage, not even close. It'd be like saying that there was a remarkable similarity between the Himalayas and the Sahara so they must be the same place.

LGR do you honestly think any of these images look like the Apollo Footage? And if so, produce some Apollo images that match them.

Even if 2001 had nailed the appearance of the lunar surface, there were five Surveyor missions that landed on the moon between 1966 and 1968. These probes radioed back a number of photos from the surface.

Let's see. Kurbrick fakes the surface of the moon in 2001. Then, for forty years, only LGR spots this. No lunar scientist is smart enough and observant enough to notice they don't match the conditions that must be extant based on our knowledge of the situation.

LGR is pretty damn smart, then.

Sane girlfriends are overrated.

Insane girlfriends drive you nuts. I speak from experience.
Tattoos and sex-toys do not make up for the annoyance and emotional roller-coaster.

I've read surveys which indicated that women who smoke are more interesting in bed.

I advise men to date girls who have smoked, but have since kicked the habit.
Indicating both a sense of adventure and a strong personality.

I married one of those and never looked back. Because if I look back, my wife will kick my ass.

Hang on, that first photo is clearly a Battletech dropship. Kubrick totally ripped off Mechwarrior!

Ever look at the moon with a good telescope?

Have you ever looked at the moon with a good telescope, it's pretty damn impressive. Just from that, you could re-create the surface good enough to be believed in a movie. Or use it to fake the moon landings.:D
