Judge halts Alaska Senate Certification

it's quite amusing what the Left tries to pass off as Victory in the last midterms...lol.

- Republicans win the House
- Lisa Murkowski, a Republican, wins in Alaska
- of the 37 out of 100 available Senate seats up for election, 19 were held by Democrats, and they LOST 6, 18 were held by Republicans and they lost NONE. Republicans won 65% of the available Senate seats

and from all of this, Democrats are still grasping to claim some sort of victory!?

:)

You quoted MattusMaximus yet strangely nothing you said had anything to do with what he said...

sure it did...he was getting enjoyment out of Miller losing in Alaska...thus I was pointing out that it's strange what people claim as victory in the last midterms.

As if a Republican win in Alaska is something for the Left to be happy about!

Well he never claimed it was a victory for Democrats, and never implied such. He's happy to see Miller lose. This is because Miller is an asshat.

It is when it's the better candidate. Do you really think all those on 'the left' don't care if a terrible candidate steals an election from a better one, simply because they're both Republicans? I'm a Democrat and would rather see a good Republican win over a bad Democrat.

Some of us actually care more about the country than our party. In fact, a hell of a lot more.

c'mon...who are you trying to fool...

the Left didn't have the first damn clue as to who Lisa Murkowski is. They saw Palin supporting Miller and so were against it. The Left had no idea what Murkowski's stances were on many issues...other then that she's a moderate Republican.

btw, did you support Scott McAdams? Do you even know who Scott McAdams is?

thanks for the link!

but I stopped after the first answer said, "even if Gore got the most votes."

since he didn't...at least no the most Electoral votes...and that's what matters!

I wonder who's crazier:

- Those wackos on the Right who claim Obama shouldn't be President because they believe he wasn't born in America

- Those wackos on the Left who claim Bush shouldn't have been President because they believe Al Gore won the election

c'mon...who are you trying to fool...

Oh of course you know more about me than I do. And why would anyone question that your straw man of what you think 'liberals' are all like is reality. (/sarcasm)

Who is this 'the Left'? I'm sure there were a lot of people who opposed Miller because Palin supported him. This could be with very good reason, if she's endorsing him he likely shares many of her views and if they oppose those views, they oppose Miller. Others, yeah, just don't like Palin and thus hate anything attached to her. His actual stances on these issues were shown. What sense does it make to claim that 'the Left' has no idea what Murkowski's stances were but they know she's a moderate? If they know that she's a moderate, they know a least her basic stances. Otherwise, how would they know she's not more far right than Miller?

But Miller did let the world know what he was like, and it was an awful thing to behold. Perhaps many people outside Alaska would never have seen this if Palin didn't bring media attention to the race. Doesn't change how good of a Senator Miller would have made.

btw, did you support Scott McAdams? Do you even know who Scott McAdams is?

As a New York resident, my support of McAdams, who never had a chance anyway, would have been useless and silly.

Ummm, yes it will. She supported Miller.

lol...ok, sure whatever gets you through the night!

You should pay less attention to Palin's mood after having lost Alaska to a REPUBLICAN...and more to Obama's "shellacking"

I read that when Obama heard the terrible news of the 2010 Midterm elections...he was so visibly upset that he almost missed a putt!

So now Miller's loss and subsequent idiotic appeals without regard to the will of the voter's is about Obama.

It's like you're having a conversation with the script you think everyone should be following.

wow, man.

I conceded your point already.

Miller lost.

A Republican won.

Palin was upset (for about 2 seconds)

move on!

I have.

There are more important things for the Left in this country to worry about than the disposition of Sarah Palin and whether or not they can still cling to some sort of 2010 election victory.

Oh, I get it. I'm, 'the Left'. What a weird nickname you have for me. I'm actually right handed. Is this like when people call a fat guy 'tiny'?

Tell me FB, were Alaskans less extreme once upon a time? Is my buddy right when he says that oil brought an influx of transplants from TX and OK which brought about the rise of fundamentalism?

I am a transplant from TX, and I didn't bring any fundies up with me, so I don't have any first hand knowledge about what it was like before I got here. But we certainly now have more extremists per capita than anywhere else in the country.

Nobody here claimed it as a victory. It just wasn't as bad as it could have been. Stop wrecking my silver lining.

c'mon...who are you trying to fool...

You're arguing against a straw man. No one claimed Murkowski's win is a victory for the left.

Those of us on the left have been pulling for Murkowski since a Miller victory would only be the result of election fraud.

You also have more people who are hardy, exact opposite of concrete canyon dwellers who think their existence as quasi-rats infesting a massive mound gives them the genius to know, just know, how the entire nation should be governed.
