Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

I know, but why do we have to guess? Shouldn't DOC be as proud of his congregation as he is of "his thread" and "his post count"?
I'm baffled too why DOC doesn't come forward which denomination he adheres to. It's almost as if he denies his Lord. Or is this a Christian version of taqiyya?

So I ask you again, DOC: which denomination do you belong to?

Did I already hear a rooster crow?

Armenian Catholic Church (1742)
Belarusian Greek Catholic Church (1990)
Bulgarian Catholic Church
Chaldean Catholic Church
Coptic Catholic Church
Croatian Greek Catholic Church
Ethiopian Catholic Church
Georgian Catholic Church
Greek Catholic Church
Hungarian Greek Catholic Church .........etc

I'm spoiled for choice.Which one has the best pension plan?

You probably have to try each one - run a sort of "Church of the week" competition - and remember to make notes and assign points.

Then, after a few hundred years, you'll be ready to make your choice.

:D

Any bible based Church that believes Christ is who he said he was, pre existent, claiming to come down from heaven with the power to forgive sins and to give eternal life to those who believe in him.

http://www.everystudent.com/wires/whodoyousay.html

And a church which believes he died for the sins of the world and was raised from the dead which proved his divinity. Also a church based on no other text like Mormonism or has a non-biblical concept of God.

Since sins are disobeying god isn't Jesus kinda working against himself here?

If we look up the NT for moths we find in Luke an instruction from Jesus

12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

Remember that this is Jesus's message correcting that which God got wrong first time.

All true christains should follow this. False Christains, people pretending to be Christains and those who do not truely have Jesus in their heart will defy him and retain some material possessions. I suspect that is why DOC has never read the bible. He had one but sold it so he could donate the procedes to poor muslims.

:big:

This is truly incredible. 420 pages, and not a hint of positive proof that the New Testament Writers [ever] Told The Truth.
DOC, will you please explain to me why the writers of the N/T told the truth, but no other holy book's authors did?

Well there is most likely "some" truth in all religions, but how many other religions do you know has enough evidence to fuel a thread like this one.

If you want a good laugh, try going to:

I suspect that there may be a connection...

Oooo...let me try...Gall Bladder operation?

So let me see, what other Pseudo-science/Mystical/Paranormal/Conspiracy operation could it be?

Lost Wisdom of Atlantis, and Isis say Toke and Carlitos. Well Theosophists and their Spin-offs cover both of those already, as they do the Great White Brotherhood (as in white auras, the German branch took that one a little too literally). Alchemy and Western Occult traditions, Hermetic Traditions covers Ancient Egyptian and the Rosicrucians. Who did I leave out? The Mayans and the Incans (I think I covered that under "etc" ;) ). Terrence McKenna and Timothy Leary (Psychedelic Shamanism and Psychology respectively, also covered under etc).

Freemasons--more socio-political than mystical despite the claims. Illuminati--defunct Secular Humanist Secret Society. So scratch those two

So we're down to Zechariah Sitchin and the Aliens (and all the modern Alien Conspiracy Spin-offs), Lemuria, Urantia, and the Church of the Sub-Genius.

Wow! These are all so well hidden I can find them in any New Age or Occult Bookstore.

That was no help at all Doc.

Well since you say you want to become a believer, you might internet search any bible study groups in your area. And tell them you want to become a believer and ask them to just let you sit in a few times. Or call any churches near you and ask if they have any bible study groups for beginners. Or contact the Billy Graham Association and tell them you want to become a believer and ask for any materials they might have. They will probably send them for free.

Are you trying to kid yourself or us, DOC?

The thread is being fueled by almost 300 other contributors amusing themselves while they wait for you to present your first piece of evidence.

If this thread is an indicator of the value of your religion you really should give it away before even more people notice its total worthlessness.
