Way to go Alice for all your research! I suspect he isnt coming back to see it. Then some people have to believe in belief!
 
Standing ovation Alice. It's a real joy to see this sort of thing exposed. I would bet the mind that would forge such things probably is not even aware of how deplorable it is, as long as it is in the name of "believing". He just, you know, streamlined the information a little. Pardon me as I smile and vicariously enjoy a piece of your victory against such billycock.

ETA I have to thank Charles for one thing; thanks to his flights of fancy I decided to start looking inot my own family tree. I haven't found anyone famous, but I have unearthed a couple of scandals and found my great-grandfather's grave in Belgium (we were spelling his name wrong when we searched the War Graves Commission website up till yesterday, he joined up under an alternate spelling).

OMG - internetz, pedestals, caek...I'm overwhelmed! Although I can't help noticing that none of you plebs bothered to use the title conferred upon me by Akhenaten, which in case you've forgotten is "Lady Alice Shortcake, Margravine of Jreffia".

I simply cannot wait to read Big Les' (note my use of the apostrophe) review of Descendant of Kings. Wouldn't it be delicious if Charles cites the new and improved "Lady of Lawers" article as evidence for John Stewart's marriage? Frankly, when you're reduced to making up your own evidence to bolster your obsession/delusion it might be time to consider seeking professional help.

Charles, something tells me you won't be making any more comments on this thread. However, if you're still reading it here's a word of advice: the 1984 approach to history only works if all previous accounts of an historical event are consigned to the memory hole. You really need to work on your internet skills.

Finally, here's a news flash: Eastasia has always been at war with Eurasia.
