Next for GOP leaders: Stopping Palin

BC i am unsure of, but Quebec would never join anyway. They want to separate not because they dislike the rest of us, but rather, they just want to be on their own. For cripes sakes, our entire country became bilingual because of them. They have their own health care and judicial system, and they still want to leave. The usa would asimilate them like the borg...not gonna happen.

Ask Pardalis (a very sane quebecer, iirc) what he thinks.

If that party is leaning toward Romney, and if they are concerned with his Mormonism being an issue, I'd keep an ear on Glenn Beck to see if he begins 'socializing' Mormonism in his rants.

I remember when I was exchange student in Spain, we were watching a game show, where pairs of contetstants had to list as many items as they could off of a list until they got one wrong.

One such list was US states, a reasonable challenge for a game show not in the US. I was dismayed when they only got two points because the third answer was 'Canada'.

Please note, I do not think this reflects poorly on Spaniards in general, but rather the general intelect of game show contestants.
 
That said, i am pretty sure that a higher percentage of canadians know the capital of the usa, c/w the percentage of americans knowing the canadian capital.

Given the literacy rates are essentially the same, i wonder what is the reason for this. Canadian insignificance, american egocentricisim, a bit of both?

I still see no reason for an American conservative to vote for Obama.

People just don't change sides so haphazardly.

I think a lot of itwill depend on how active and visible the tea party wing of the Tea Republican Party is in the next two years. If they stir up crap and seem to be doing something (seem), then i fear the REPs will fear the wrath of her fans and they will nominate her. If we see tp candidates falling in line with the rest, i think Romney wins.

Gonna be interesting, to say the least.

Because you think Obama is a better choice than Palin (and I agree) so therefore everybody should vote Obama regardless of their political ideology?

The real world doesn't work that way. Other people will not necessarily do what you want them to do because you think it's best. I know it will come as a shocker to you but other people (that means people other than yourself) have their own motivations for doing what they do, and your personal opinion has very little influence on it.

Anyone older than 5 years of age should have realized that by now, but I guess some people need a little refresher.

I only hope to god that even those who were disappointed in Obama, would not vote Palin in protest. Seriously. Romney...ok, i can see it, but palin...
