Is Bill Maher a bigot?

Here is a snippet from Christine's web page, the "About Christine" section:

An effective communicator, Christine is known for her skill in winning over even those who disagree with her most. Liberal Bill Maher stated, “I don’t know how many times you’ve been here but it’s always a good show when you’re on.” Even Democratic strategist James Carville was forced to admit of Christine O’Donnell “Now, this is one hip woman,” on CNN’s “Crossfire.”

So, she is using her appearances with Bill Maher to further her campaign. But she has no qualms betitling Maher as "Liberal Bill." Bigoted? I dare say so.

Please enlighten us as to how physical exercise is a "100% woo" option in the battle against depression. Now before you try to confuse your half-argument with the link you posted, remember, Maher poses exercise as the logical approach towards depression. As opposed to the pharma pills you seem to be endorsing.

What evasion? The guy is a paranoid conspiracy nutjob who thinks that the pharmaceutical industry is making everyone sick for $$$$. Its quite evident from the video that was what he was saying. On top of that he thinks that germ theory is a fraud. He has been schooled by another famous idiotic doctor on the importance of vaccines. Its easiest softball on face of the earth. The only person who comes off more idiotic in medical issues is Jenny McCarthy and thats only because she can't string a single sentence together.

Well, to be fair, it's possible Anna Nicole Smith said something even dumber, but we can't be certain since she had trouble stringing consonants together.

From Al Franken to Dennis Miller...it's awfully lazy.

He wouldn't say it because it's not as safe as saying "Christian ass" about a Christian. Doesn't make it any less or more bigoted.
 
Well I for one am simply glad that he didn't comment on the proportions or attractiveness of said ass, as that would be sexist and we certainly can't have that!

NOTE: religion as medicine is woo. in other words, 6 billion people see religion as medicine. please for the love of thor, explain to me how maher's view of medicine is so far off reality.

NOTE #2: Yes. Pills are nonsense for the most part. What people really need is diet and exercise, NOT PILLS. Please argue how pills can and should replace diet and exercise. I beg you.

Don't be so literal. Clearly, Dorian exaggerated for effect.

But a comedian doing a bit? Now that's a situation where exaggeration is inappropriate.
 
Back to the original premise of the OP: IMO he would never use the phrase Muslim ass on his show. Too scared

Just so I'm clear: Atheists are opposed to religious fanatics who run for office ONLY if they are the dominant religion in a culture, and thus it's ok for a religious fanatic whose religion is not dominant to run for office?

Finally my worship of Ra has given me an advantage in life.

Those who say that Maher makes fun of Muslims to the same extent as he does Christians clearly do not watch the show.

BTW I'm an atheist too, but let's not pretend for a second that there is an equal amount of humor geared at Muhammed as their is Jesus.
