'According to the Louisville Courier Journal, "Lauren Valle of MoveOn.org approached Paul and tried to give him an "employee of the month award" from Republicorp...a fake business MoveOn created to symbolize what it says is the merger of the GOP and business interests controlling political speech."'

Could have been much, much worse but still disgusting behavior.

Any man who stomps on a womans head and tries to push it into the concrete like that deserves to get in returned to him 20 fold. I really hope he's held accountable for this. The story said that WTQV reported that she did file an assault report, but there hasn't been any word of any arrests.

I don't think it was Rand Paul stomping on her, but that is clearly assault and those people will go to jail if there is any sort of investigation. Only cops are allowed to assault and stomp on people without punishment.

Rand Paul gets out of a suv and a bodyguard/man in suit points out a woman who is bursting through the crowd. Some people wrestle her down and her wig falls off, then some idiot decides to place his foot on her shoulder and then stomp her head with some people telling him not to do it. Jail time for the stomper for certain, she did not have a gun or a sword in her hands so it was way too much force.

Its funny though in the clip that she is smiling during the whole assault, this was much more damaging to Rand Paul than the award she was going to give and Rand Paul has to react and condemn this fast or he is toast. There was a short statement from the campaign already, but it was kinda lame when it should have been much more forceful.

Doesn't Paul have some tea party crossover too? I get the impression that the TP doesn't have the same force rule as the libs.

1. It was totally uncalled for, and assault charges against the guy should be filed.
2. He did not stomp her head, it was her left shoulder. He stomped it once.
3. the picture on the site is misleading, as it does not show that the actual contact with the foot was to her shoulder, not her head.

Rand Paul should have went to the hospital and apologized on behalf of his follower, or at least gone to make sure she was ok...did he?

He did say he wants things to be civil, but you would think when asked about it, he would condemn it. DOES HE NEED TO BE ASKED SPECIFICALLY "do you condemn the attack" in order to condemn it???

Yah i wtched it two or three times, and i can see how he may have tapped the back of her head with his heel, but if you watch it closely, the intent, and the focus of his weight is on her left shoulder.

Paul's thugs really gave him a chance to shine- but I agree the remarks were disappointing. Between him and his Democratic opponent, I'm glad I don't live in Kentucky.

Oh.. It's a terrible act that should not have been perpetuated in the first place, but it is telling that some of the forums most vocal conservative supporters seem to be, thus far, silent on this. If it were reversed, they would likely be crowing about how evil the libs are, blah blah blah.

Sheriff Craig Webre and Harbor Police Chief John Callais announced the arrest of seven Greenpeace activists in Port Fourchon. A complaint came in at approximately 12:45 PM stating the seven had boarded a vessel at Port Fourchon and painted messages with an unknown substance on different areas of the ship. The messages were directed to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar. A representative for Salazar was at Port Fourchon this morning while other dignitaries congregated in Galliano with Secretary Salazar and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano regarding the ongoing oil spill impacting the Louisiana coastline. I took the description of her trying to give some odd "award" to Paul as evidence she's an activist of some sort or another.

Has anyone argued that she wasn't one?
