I doubt I will come back to defend this because it speaks for itself.

If that sounds arrogant or the like, it's the confidence that comes with consistent connection and first hand mystical experiences that have guided me on a dream like life, literally living the dream as my highest passion in music, with no end in sight, and the thought system (that I could change at any second, because I am always open to a better idea, or trying a new way if it is serving somebody who I am modelling because of their success in an are that I wish to be successful at) to let me know if I am getting warmer or getting colder in relation to the things I want.

I am of that ilk, so, please "forgive me".

"Skepticism by definition is an open minded state of a willingness to explore something, a willingness to look at what you call evidence, a willingness to understand your relationship to it --- your personal relationship to it --- and a willingness to allow --- for a new belief to come in to challenge the old belief you may have been holding on to. Not the idea that you must change your belief, but a willingness to allow for the possibility that your beliefs --- be they long held or cherished --- may never the less require some change."

Ok. The guy likes skepticism and evidence, and doesn't like cynicism or gullibility. So far so good. What's your point?

Edit for Sledge - Vid is some shouty self-help guru type belabouring a lecture about how cynicism and gullibility are bad (boo) and sit as two extremes either side of skepticism, which is brave, noble, fearless etc (cheers cheers).

<shrug> I don't get it. There may be a point but I don't get it.

The arrogance is self-evident; the fact you have not earned the arrogance is also self-evident.

The quotation is not bad in and of itself. What is incorrect is the implied context. Likewise your assumptions in the other thread in which you assume skeptics have no first hand experience of the mystical.

You are right not to defend your OP; it is vapidity wrapped in nonsense.

So you're not going to respond to people, and you want us to watch a Youtube video without indicating what it's contents are? Yeah, I think I'll pass.

I more than alluded (indicated) what it's contents are.

But pass anyways, I can already tell that the rhetoric you will counter with is weak sauce.

You have a Good Point.

But many Skeptics on here- are a deferred Kind of skeptic breed, Infact many are prone to call you names, and destroy you and make you very sad. They wish to stomp on a person till they are silenced.

They Think of James Randi and how belligerent he is, that is why they like him so much because James Randi uses the power of Talk to prove his skepticism, very propaganda. He uses this 1million Dollar reward to prove James Randi different.

There is nothing Friendly about what James Randi is doing- hes only arranging a mass occult for himself of Skeptic beleivers- who most of them are immature of real Critical Thought.

Here in this site, this is where Beleivers and Non-Believers present themselves.

I am, a Believer while the rest are James Randi and his puppet strings of non-beleivers.

I suppose the point might lie somewhere on this web site.

Arrogance is earnable? Ooh, I'm all over that. One question, though. How will I know if/when I've jumped the gun a smidge?

From that site's front page: "Bashar is a multi-dimensional extra-terrestrial being who speaks through channel Darryl Anka from what we perceive as the future."

Oh, my. 'Nuff said.

In my own manner of assessing such things; it's a conclusion I've arrived at after decades of dealing with all manner of arrogance and conceit. If you know your stuff, are honest, and produce, then you've earned the right to be arrogant.

Mind you, you haven't lost the right NOT to be arrogant....

Impossible. You earned the right long ago.

Well, he's perhaps a little on the portly side, but I think it's a bit much to call him multi-dimensional.

I missed it, I was out of town for a while. What do you Believe in? Souls? Afterlives? Previous lives. Reincarnation milk from contented cows? Extra Silly Perception?

so because he gives credit to something else you have no experience of, you automatically debunk him?

this isn't a forum about his claims of origin for his words, it's about the words he is saying

plain and simple

and of course, you have no argument, just a bunch of autodebunking with no due process whatsoever, just bias mixed with a made up mind

the death rattle to an amazing life

i feel so sorry for skeptics, it's like a poison to passion

Rwalsh has an 8 page thread about Nostradamus and has provided no credible evidence so far.

Do what now? Rwalsh has made his case for Nostradamus in his own thread and so far has convinced no one.

Several people have provided him with evidence that Nostradamus is bunk. That seems to upset him more than inspire him to do any research or even read one of the books that he refers to. His mind is made up.

It seems your mind is made up as well.
