Well, this ensures that no matter whom is elected, New Yorkers will have a scumbag for governor.
Of course, they should be used to it by now.
Just curious. How is Cuomo a scumbag?
Spitzer felt Cuomo hyped and leaked investigations into his office. But still, he's right that Cuomo has this quiet, serious problem with his reputation among insiders.
Well known to be a dirty player with sharp elbows; he was the hatchet man for his father.
IIRC Joe Klein also hinted at this in Primary Colors; it's been years since I read the book, but I do remember a discussion of Ozio's (i.e. Cuomo's) son being a real sleaze.

As Bad as Paladino may be, he's not the same old crap. That does count for something. New York has been the worst state government in the country. Cuomo will just continue it. At least Paladino will shake it up.
The dude said he was mad cause a reporter was looking and taking pictures of his daughter through her windows!
That would make any father go postal!
This is true. The choice is, do you go with the scumbag that has been in politics all his life, or the scumbag that is a newcomer? Cuomo is the same old scumbag that has been running New York down for decades. As Bad as Paladino may be, he's not the same old crap. That does count for something. New York has been the worst state government in the country. Cuomo will just continue it. At least Paladino will shake it up.
PS. He must be an idiot. He was dumped by a Kennedy
However... NPR interviewed people from the area who find Palladino's outrageous behavior favorable.....One couple said "he's got spunk!"
When Com became HUD Secretary in 1997, he axed a federal program that had saved the U.S. $2.2 billion between 1994 and 1997 and reinstituted a system that lost the government money while earning billions for favored friends. He fired a former HUD official whose company designed the program.
That wasn’t the only money big money lost. When Cuomo was secretary, HUD reported that $59 billion was missing! It couldn't’t say where they money went, because it failed to produce audited financial statements.
As Secretary of HUD, Andrew Cuomo reversed the policy of selling defaulted mortgages so that families could keep their homes. Instead, he chose to foreclose on mortgages, which meant that families lost their homes and insiders cleaned up on fire-sale priced properties. The US Treasury also lost billions.
Before all you (especially you out of staters) anoint him Saint Coumo you should do a little homework on the guy.
