TAM London - hotels

So I'm a bit late in looking for a hotel it seems, and lots of places are fully booked. Just looking for a cheap place nearby to crash for the Saturday->Sunday night.
I guess going back to Oxford is cheapest but afraid that will interfere either with having fun or 4+ hours of sleep. :)
Any tips? Willing to share a room as well...

http://hostelworld.com - especially if you're able to deal with shared dorms, but there are reasonable singles to be found like maybe this?

That one is really expensive. :(
Anyway, great link and plenty of nearby places.
Did find a basic £25/person twin room nearby* so if anyone is in a similar situation let me know, otherwise will probably just go with a shared dorm.

Scroll up to my message (#14) above, still 2 beds available in this shared dorm, with Ulrich Luebke and me. £70 is a great deal for 3 nights and still a good deal for 2 nights.

I might have a spare bed or floor space available at my place, which is in Biggleswade - 40 mins on a train north of, but direct to, Kings Cross station. The train will cost you around £35 return.

PM me if you are stuck for a place to stay.

I've been dithering, because my work schedule changed totally three weeks ago and it seemed I would be unable to make it, so I didn't book anywhere and was even trying to see if I could pass the ticket on to someone else. It now seems everything has changed again and I should make it after all.
I think I may stay at a friend's place out Windsor way. Bit of a bugger having to commute though.

I'm also looking for sccomodwtion, I was going to room with another girl from Spain at a hotel but that fell through. I've tried at the Olympic but they don't have anything for Saturday, so I'm still looking...

Are you just over for the weekend, or are you staying for a while?

The Hilton itself has 4-adult occupancy rooms for about £210- 2 double beds- which might suit some groups / couples / close friends. Better than a hostel dorm and no dearer. You probably won't get much time in bed anyway. As we are so near Paddington, I think I'll stay out of town. Friday night trains run all night. Saturday ones quit at 01:00 Sunday, but there are all night buses to Heathrow and I can get a taxi from there.

I'll arrive Thursday night, I'll leave Monday mid-morning. But I've booked already at a hotel with an insanely long name, let me see... Best Western Premier Shaftesbury Kensington. On Friday I don't know whether I'll be drooling away at the Natural History Museum or meeting up with other TAM attendants at some fringe event. There's a bunch of Spanish people coming so we'll most certainly meet up at some time.

I'll be over in Cardiff for a day or so before. I'll take a train over to Londinium on Friday morning and back on the Monday, then drive to Scotland on Tuesday. Bit of an indirect route, but it lets me catch up with a couple of friends on the way.
See you there!

I get in Thursday morning the 14th. I'll be attending the Pub Trivia Thursday night.

I leave Sunday the 24th. In between I'll see 3 football matches (working on #4), and lots of sightseeing. Some new stuff, and some old favorites revisited.

Yay! Soapy's coming! :yahoo

1 bed left in our shared TAMmer-only 4-bed hostel dorm for Friday, Saturday and Sunday - scroll up to message #14 for details. £23.50 per night!

If it wasn't for the fact we have the builders in, I could offer accommodation in Berkshire (I'll be commuting in, it's just under an hour for me by train). Maybe next year (on the other hand, if the event grows, I might be staying in London).

I'm currently free on the Friday; are there any get-togethers planned?
